CALL TO ORDER
Meeting called to order at 7:07 by Club President Fred Guyette. The meeting opened with the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag and a moment of silence for those protecting our borders and security. There were Twenty Five (25) members present including fourteen (14) officers and committee chairs, and two guests.
Meeting Minutes
The Secretary’s meeting minutes of March 13, 2025 were read by Secretary Jim E. Mayers.
There was a motion to approve by Mike DePaola and 2nd by James C. Mayers. There were no additions, deletions or corrections. All approved
TREASURER’S REPORT
The Treasurers report for March, 2025 was read by Treasurer Lori Raub. There was a motion by Mike DePaola and 2nd by Jim C. Mayers to approve the Treasurers report. There were no additions, deletions or corrections. All approved.

STANDING COMMITTEES:
ARCHERY (Officer – Matt Forba)
Matt noted that the first scheduled 3D shoot is scheduled for Sunday May 4, 2025
It was also noted that the shooting lanes need some attention as far as being cleared of branches and other debris
Fred also noted that they are still shooting indoors on Tuesday evenings.
TRAP (Officer Fred Guyette )
Open Trap is ongoing on Friday nights.
The first scheduled ATA shoot is scheduled for April 14th.
County League signup sheet is in the Trap Lounge. Silver Lake Rod & Gun Club is looking for two teams. Bob Tucker has the details.
12 Gauge shells are available to club members at $90.00 per 10 box case.
It was noted that the Club has purchased ‘Black Lights”. The black lights are for shooting trap after dark, in the dark!!
The County League is scheduled for this coming Sunday at Halstead.
The County League will meet at Silver Lake Rod & Gun Club on April 27th. Pete Holleran to man the kitchen and cook hotdogs and hamburgers.
There will be a “Fred Guyette Famous Fish Fry” on Friday April 25th celebrating the end of the winter league. All are welcome
Income for Trap and Skeet for March (+) as follows;
Skeet- 1/17, $48.00- 2/16, $40.00 – March 4th $96.00, March 14 $108.00, March 21 $72.00, March 28th $111.00, Total $475.00.
Trap- March 14th $770.00, March 28th $440.00, April 4th $510.00. Total $1,720.00

INDOOR RANGE (Officer Tom Blackman)
Tom noted that the rubber backing at the indoor range needs to be replaced and we need more rubber for this task. Also need to do a Spring Cleanup.
For those using the indoor range, remember to police your brass and cleanup after your selves.
Buildings & Grounds (Officer Ron Walter)
Ron stated “All is ok”. Ron also noted that the lock combinations have been changed to the 2025 combinations. Lori Raub programmed the new combinations in for the Club House and the Trap Lounge.
It was also noted that the entrance sign needs a new post installed.
Outdoor Shooting Sports (Officer Jack Revie)
Jack noted that the 100 yard range mats have been replaced. Thank you to Jack and Matt.
Jack noted that Tom Blackman has built a new shooting bench. Thank you Tom.
It was also noted that members bringing in pallets and other “Junk” to shoot from or off, are requested to take it home with them.
PFSC (Delegate Mike DePaola)
Mike noted that the PGC is offering Vets and wounded non- residents a discount
Sunday hunting is still being hashed out.
12- GUN RAFFLE (Chairman Fred Guyette)
The April 2025 winner is none other than Critter Shafer. Critter won a Winchester XPR 300 Win Mag with a Vortex 3x9x40 scope. There are still 2025-2026 Twelve Gun Raffle tickets available.

KITCHEN_ (Chairman Pete Holleran)
Pete noted all is well.
OLD BUSINESS
The idea of having a “Club Olympic Tournament” was again discussed. The events discussed included a Rifle event utilizing any rifle or shotgun shooting five (5) shots at 75 yards. Trap, 10 birds using any gauge shotgun. Archery 5 shots at 30 yards for a compound bow, 20 yards using Traditional equipment or 50 yards using a crossbow. Fly rod or casting rod 5 tries at ten (10) yards and finally Pistol five shots any pistol except magnum calibers.
Awards to go to Top Male, Top Female, Top Youth Male and Top Youth Female. A Chicken BBQ to be available for $15.00 each. The Event is to be for Members and their Families only.
It appears that at this time there is not enough interest to proceed.
Reminder; we have an ongoing bottle and can drive. Bottles and cans may be left in the shed next to the clubhouse. All proceeds are donated to Leukemia Cancer Research.
It was noted that Zeb has picked up a back blade for the tractor for $925.00.
Archery In the Schools Scholarships for one female and one male have been selected. Gabrielle Tims is the female winner and Tristan Rozelle is the male winner.
Montrose Area High School Scholarship applications for the Trades are expected by May 1, 2025
NEW BUSINESS
Fred noted that he is applying for grants from the Pennsylvania Game Commission for new trap machines, shooting pits and general site improvements
