Regular Meeting

​December 12, 2024

CALL TO ORDER
Meeting called to order at 7:05 by Club President Fred Guyette. The meeting opened with the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag and a moment of silence for those protecting our borders and security. There were Nineteen (19) members present including twelve (12) officers and committee chairs.
 
Meeting Minutes for the November 2024  Regular Meeting                    
The Secretary’s meeting minutes of November, 2024 were read by Secretary Jim E. Mayers.
There was a motion to approve by Ron Walter and 2nd by Mike DiPaola.  All approved.
 
TREASURER’S REPORT
The Treasurers report for November, 2024 was read by Treasurer Lori Raub.  There was a motion by Mike DiPaola and 2nd by Ron Walter to approve the Treasurers report. All approved.

STANDING COMMITTEES:
 
ARCHERY   (Officer – Matt Forba)  
Matt not in attendance.
Fred noted that the “Indoor Winter Archery” will commence after the New Year.
 
 TRAP   (Officer Fred Guyette)
Open Trap on Friday nights is ongoing.
Fred also noted that he has raffle tickets for our Twelve Gun Raffle. He also has tickets available for the Gun Bingo events
Income for Trap for November $1,286.00
Income for Skeet for November $273.00.
 
Wine Shoot scheduled for this Sunday December 15th.
12 Gauge shells are available to club members at $90.00 per 10 box case.
The Winter Trap League is scheduled to commence on January 3rd. Fifteen ($15.00 signup) then Fifteen ($15.00) per week
 
 INDOOR RANGE   (Officer Tom Blackman)
Tom noted that he turned in $37.00 from the range fee box.
It was noted that Sporterifle is now in the 13th week (match) of a scheduled 21 match schedule. Silver Lake Rod & Gun Club record to date is 5 wins and 7 losses.
 
Buildings & Grounds   (Officer Ron Walter)  
Ron noted all is well. Ron also noted that he changed the gasket on the Clubhouse  wood burning stove and cleaned the chimney.
It was noted that Jim C. Mayers serviced the Kubota tractor.
It was further noted that the chimney at the Trap Lounge needs to be inspected.
Fred produced a log book to track all services rendered for the Kubota tractor.
The propane tank is at 24%.
 
Outdoor Shooting Sports   (Officer Jack Revie)
Jack noted all is well.
 
PFSC (Delegate Mike DePaola)
Mike noted the Game Commission is going back and forth on Sunday hunting. It was also noted that Fish & Game will be setting the seasons
  
12- GUN RAFFLE   (Chairman Fred Guyette)
The December 2024 winner is Gary Hill. The winning ticket # 191. Gary won $500.00. Merry Christmas Gary.
The 2025-2026 Twelve Gun Raffle tickets are now available.
 
SUPPLIES (Chairperson Reggie Raynor)
Reggie not in attendance. Call Reggie if there is any supplies needed.
 
INTERNET WEB SITE   (Webmaster Ed Smith)
Ed not in attendance. No report.

OLD BUSINESS 
Reminder; we have an ongoing bottle and can drive. Bottles and cans may be left in the shed next to the clubhouse. All proceeds are donated to Leukemia Cancer Research.
We will be changing propane suppliers from Hinds to Superior.
 
Tom Blackman will be the Election Chairman for the Annual Dinner. Tom will be interviewing the Incumbent Officers and Committee members regarding their willingness to seek reelection.

 NEW BUSINESS
There will be a Christmas Party in the Trap Lounge on Friday December 20th. All are welcome. Bring a dish to pass
Zeb has secured a price quote from Marshall Machinery to provide a 6’ hydraulic angle blade plus a 3rd function hydraulic kit, a 6’ back blade, rear  tire chains and wheel spacers.
Also a price was included for a tractor mounted snow blower.
 
Fred noted that the Gun Bingo is scheduled for January and the Pistol Bingo is scheduled for March. Fred has secured all of the long guns for the Gun Bingo. Gun Bingo tickets only 100 to be sold at $150.00 each. See Fred to get on list to purchase if you are not currently on the list.
Annual Dinner is scheduled for Sunday January 12, 2025 (remains from October Minutes)
 
Fred noted that he will be purchasing two 65” Smart TVs to be used for the Gun Bingo events. When each event ends, the TV utilized will be won in a Buy-In Bingo. 
There is a Gun Bingo meeting scheduled for 12/19 in the Trap Lounge
