CALL TO ORDER
Meeting called to order at 7:04 by Club President Fred Guyette. The meeting opened with the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag and a moment of silence for those protecting our borders and security. There were Twenty (20) members present including nine (9) officers and committee chairs, and two guests.
Meeting Minutes
The Secretary’s meeting minutes of February 13, 2025 were read by Secretary Jim E. Mayers.
There was a motion to approve by Mike Fabian and 2nd by James Bell. There were no additions, deletions or corrections. All approved
TREASURER’S REPORT
The Treasurers report for February, 2025 was read by Treasurer Lori Raub. There was a motion by Ken Mathews and 2nd by Ron Walter to approve the Treasurers report. There were no additions, deletions or corrections. All approved.

STANDING COMMITTEES:
ARCHERY (Officer – Matt Forba)
Matt not in attendance, no report.
Fred noted that the first 3D shoot is scheduled for Sunday May 4, 2025.
Fred also noted that they are still shooting indoors on Tuesday evenings.
TRAP (Officer Fred Guyette, Fred not in attendance)
Open Trap is ongoing on Friday nights.
The first scheduled ATA shoot is scheduled for April 14th.
County League signup sheet is in the Trap Lounge. Silver Lake Rod & Gun Club is looking for two teams. Bob Tucker has the details.
12 Gauge shells are available to club members at $90.00 per 10 box case.
It was noted that the Club has purchased ‘Black Lights”. The black lights are for shooting trap after dark, in the dark!!
There is a signup sheet in the Trap Lounge for those interested in shooting for Silver Lake Rod & Gun Club in the County Trap League. The Club is hoping for two teams.
There will be a “Famous Fish Fry” in April celebrating the end of the winter league. All are welcome
Income for Trap and Skeet for February as follows;
Skeet- 2/14/25- $72.00, 2/28/25 $96.00, 3/7/25 $42.00 Total $210.00
Trap- 2/21/25, 2/28/25 and 3/7/25 Total $970.00
Income for 12 gauge shells- $450.00

INDOOR RANGE (Officer Tom Blackman)
Tom noted that he turned in $63.00 from the range fee box.
Tom noted that the rubber backing at the indoor range needs to be replaced and we need more rubber for this task.
For those using the indoor range, remember to police your brass and cleanup after your selves.
It was noted that SporteRifle season has concluded. Silver Lake Rod & Gun Club record for the season was 8 wins and 13 losses.
Two of our team members will be recognized at the Annual Sporterifle Banquet on April 5, 2025 at Brooks BBQ in Oneonta, NY. Steve Adriance was the Top Rifleman in the Men’s Class and Patti Blackman won the Top Female Senior class.

The March 2025 winner is Ed Jackson 200 4th street Hallstead, Pa . The winning ticket # 049. Ed won CZ Drake O/U 12 gauge w/ 28” bbl and five choke tubes
The 2025-2026 Twelve Gun Raffle tickets are still available.

Pete noted all is well.
OLD BUSINESS
It was noted that the “Pistol Bingo” was again very successful. Fred reported that the Club took in approximately $10,000.00. Fred expressed his profound thanks to all who helped make this event a huge success. Fred expressly thanked Chris O’Reilly from Tall Pines and Jeff Scavazzo from Endless Mountain Archery for their help and generosity toward the Club.
The idea of having a “Club Olympic Tournament” was again discussed. The events discussed included a Rifle event utilizing any rifle or shotgun shooting five (5) shots at 75 yards. Trap, 10 birds using any gauge shotgun. Archery 5 shots at 30 yards for a compound bow, 20 yards using Traditional equipment or 50 yards using a crossbow. Fly rod or casting rod 5 tries at ten (10) yards and finally Pistol five shots any pistol except magnum calibers.
Awards to go to Top Male, Top Female, Top Youth Male and Top Youth Female. A Chicken BBQ to be available for $15.00 each. The Event is to be for Members and their Families only.
Reminder; we have an ongoing bottle and can drive. Bottles and cans may be left in the shed next to the clubhouse. All proceeds are donated to Leukemia Cancer Research.
NEW BUSINESS
Zeb Raub had a quote from Marshall’s Kubota and one from Timberline Kubota for a 6’ back blade for our Kubota tractor. Marshall’s quote was $1,100 and Timberline’s quote was for $1,200.00.
Also discussed redressing the driveway and parking lot. Pricing for material was 8 loads for $2,720.00 and grading/ compacting for $6,720 from James Phillips.
We also received a quote for clearing an area 70’ x 100’ on the west side of the property for $24,520.00. Determined we need a Committee Meeting to further review these items.
Montrose Senior High School will be providing three student applications for our Annual Scholarship give away to a student who is planning on making a career in the trades.
Three Rivers sent the Club a request to post flyers at the club. There are four colleges that are promoting the shooting sports as a class. The intent is to get the younger generation involved and acquainted with trap, skeet, etc. Flyers are posted in the Trap Lounge.
There were two new Membership Applications to review as follows;

The name drawn for the March attendance pool was Mike Fabian.
