CALL TO ORDER
Meeting called to order at 7:08 by Club President Fred Guyette. The meeting opened with the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag and a moment of silence for those protecting our borders and security. There were Sixteen (16) members present including eleven (11) officers and committee chairs.
Meeting Minutes
The Secretary’s meeting minutes of April 10, 2025 were read by Secretary Jim E. Mayers.
There was a motion to approve by Mike DePaola and 2nd by James Bell. There were no additions, deletions or corrections. All approved.
The Secretary’s minutes for the April 22, 2025 Committee Meeting was read by Secretary Jim E. Mayers. No review or approval was required.
TREASURER’S REPORT
The Treasurers report for April, 2025 was read by Treasurer Lori Raub. There was a motion by Jim C. Mayers and 2nd by Mike DePaola to approve the Treasurers report. There were no additions, deletions or corrections. All approved.

STANDING COMMITTEES:
ARCHERY (Officer – Matt Forba)
Matt noted that there were 13 shooters at the Sunday May 4, 3D shoot. Matt noted that it was
rain soaked day.
Fred also noted that Silver Lake Rod & Gun Club has donated $2,500 to the Montrose Area
Archery In the Schools program to help cover the cost of the entry fees for Montrose to
participate in the Nationals in Kentucky
There are still several archers still shooting indoors on Tuesday evenings. All are welcome to
join in.
TRAP (Officer Fred Guyette )
Open Trap is ongoing on Friday nights.
The first ATA shoot was held on April 14th. There were nine ATA shooters competing.
Fred noted many thanks for all who helped
County League has commenced. Silver Lake Rod & Gun Club is looking for two teams. Bob Tucker has the details.
12 Gauge shells are available to club members at $90.00 per 10 box case.
Income for Trap and Skeet for April (+) as follows;
Skeet- 4/11 $54.00, 4/25 $72.00
Trap- 4/11 $400.00, 4/14 (ATA) $300.00, 4/25 County League $1,015, 4/22 $90.00, 4/29 $150.00, 5/4 (ATA) $331.00
Income for 12 gauge shells- $306.00
Range Fee box $56.00 Kitchen from County League $406.00

A delivery of clay birds is scheduled for Friday May 16th.
INDOOR RANGE (Officer Tom Blackman)
Tom not in attendance. It was noted that the rubber for the indoor range is on site.
For those using the indoor range, remember to police your brass and cleanup after your selves.
Buildings & Grounds (Officer Ron Walter)
Ron stated “All is ok”.
It was noted that there is firewood that needs splitting and stacked. Also the mower deck needs greasing.
Outdoor Shooting Sports (Officer Jack Revie)
Jack noted that all is well
It was also noted that members bringing in pallets and other “Junk” to shoot from or off, are requested to take it home with them.
PFSC (Delegate Mike DePaola)
Mike noted that there were no legislative moves this session.
12- GUN RAFFLE (Chairman Fred Guyette)
The May 2025 winner is Mickey Fabian of Endicott, NY. The winning ticket was #30.
SUPPLIES (Chairperson Reggie Raynor)
Reggie not in attendance. Call Reggie if there is any supplies needed.
INTERNET WEB SITE (Webmaster Ed Smith)
Ed not in attendance. No report. Fred noted that he has updated several items with Ed.

Pete noted all is well.
OLD BUSINESS
Getting ready for the Roger Everitt Shoot scheduled for May 31 and June 1st. Still need raffle prizes and baskets. Any and all donations are welcome.
4H Shooting Sports event is scheduled for Saturday may 24th. Todd to help with the Trap event(s)
Reminder; we have an ongoing bottle and can drive. Bottles and cans may be left in the shed next to the clubhouse. All proceeds are donated to Leukemia Cancer Research.
These next two items remain from April minutes
Archery In the Schools Scholarships for one female and one male have been selected. Gabrielle Tims is the female winner and Tristan Rozelle is the male winner.
Montrose Area High School Scholarship applications for the Trades are expected by May 1, 2025.
Fred noted that he is applying for grants from the Pennsylvania Game Commission for new trap machines, shooting pits and general site improvements. Fred thanked Bill Gamble for typing the grant application up.
NEW BUSINESS
Jim E. Mayers noted that the recently concluded NYS Sporter season had two Silver Lake Rod and Gun Club members receive awards. Patti Blackman won Top Women’s in her class and Steve Adriance top Male in his class.
ATTENDANCE POOL
The name drawn for the May attendance pool was Bob Kuhn.
