CALL TO ORDER
Meeting called to order at 7:05 by Club President Fred Guyette. The meeting opened with the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag and a moment of silence for those protecting our borders and security. There were fifteen (15) members present including seven (7) officers and committee chairs and eight (8) guests
 
Meeting Minutes
The Secretary’s meeting minutes of May 8, 2025 were read by Secretary Jim E. Mayers.
There was a motion to approve by Bob Tucker and 2nd by Tom Oleniacz. There were no additions, deletions or corrections. All approved.
The Secretary’s minutes for the June 5, 2025 Committee Meeting was read by Secretary Jim E. Mayers. No review or approval was required.
 
TREASURER’S REPORT
The Treasurers report for May 2025 was read by Treasurer Lori Raub.  There was a motion by Tom Oleniacz and 2nd by Bob Tucker  to approve the Treasurers report. There were no additions, deletions or corrections. All approved.

Scholarships Awarded
Laice Varnum, Susquehaqnna County 4H Representative was given a check in the amount of $1,500.00. This money is from the Roger Everitt Memorial Shoot proceeds and given annually.
 
Other scholarships given includes $1,000.00 to individual(s) who intend to enter the trades after college or technical trade school. There are two winners this year as Montrose Area High School only provided two names. The two names are as follows;
  1. Logan Wilcox who intends to further his education at Johnson Trade School.
  2. Jaiden Navenda, Jaiden is planning on attending Thadeus Stevens Trade School.
 
Archery In the Schools Program
$1,000 dollar scholarships were awarded to the top Male archer and the top Female archer
The top male shooter is Tristan Rozelle. The top Female shooter is Gabrielle Timm.
 
Tom Oleniacz gave a detailed report explaining how well the Montrose Area Archery in the Schools did throughout the year and how well they did at the State and Nationals. Tom noted that there were three local qualifying shoots in which Montrose Area won all three, sending three teams to the State Tournament. All three Montrose area teams (High School, Middle School, and Lathrop Street and Choconut Elementary) won State Championships 
The Montrose Area Archery In the Schools took a total of fifty nine (59) students to the National Archery In the Schools Tournament in Louisville, Kentucky in May.
Lathrop Elementary team won 1st place in the 3D tournament. 5th grader Blake McKenna won the Elementary Championship with a 287 out of a possible 330. Lathrop Street Elementary also won the 3D tournament Blake McKenna again was the National Champion with a score of 283.
 
The Bulls Eye Tournament
Lathrop St. Elementary finished 2nd out of 25 teams.
The Middle School finished 14th out of 57 teams
The High School finished 11th out of 67 teams
 
NASP IBO  3-D
Lathrop Elementary finished 8th out of 91 teams. Blake McKenna again won the National Championship.
Middle School finished 14th out of 142 teams.
The High School finished 31st out of 162 teams.
There were a total of 14,444 students competing in this tournament

STANDING COMMITTEES:
 
ARCHERY   (Officer – Matt Forba)  
Matt not in attendance, No report
There are still several archers still shooting indoors on Tuesday evenings. All are welcome to
join in.
There is a 3D league which shots on Tuesday evenings. Call Matt for details if interested.
 
TRAP   (Officer Fred Guyette )
Fred thanked everyone who helped make the Roger Everitt Memorial a great success again.
The next ATA shoot is scheduled for June 16th.
The next County League is scheduled for 6/15 at New Milford.
A load of clay birds have been delivered and stored.
12 Gauge shells are available to club members at $90.00 per 10 box case.
 
 
Income for Trap and Skeet for May (+) as follows;
 
Trap- 5/16 $385.00,  5/19 $425.00, 5/23 $240.00, 5/30 $240.00, 6/6 $230.00 total $1,520.00
Skeet- 5/16 $18.00, 5/23 $48.00, 5/30 $133.00 total $199.00
Income for 12 gauge shells- $315.00
 
 INDOOR RANGE   (Officer Tom Blackman)
Tom not in attendance
For those using the indoor range, remember to police your brass and cleanup after your selves.
 
 Buildings & Grounds   (Officer Ron Walter)  
Ron stated “All is ok”.
It was noted that the driveway and parking area has been worked on. Material needs additional rolling once we get some rain.
Zeb noted a pipe was broken and needs replacing.
 
Outdoor Shooting Sports   (Officer Jack Revie)
Jack noted that all is well
It was also noted that members bringing in pallets and other “Junk” to shoot from or off, are requested to take it home with them.
 
PFSC (Delegate Mike DePaola)
Mike not in attendance. No report
 
12- GUN RAFFLE   (Chairman Fred Guyette)
The June 2025 winner is Bob Tompkins. The winning ticket was #551. Bob won a Savage 9317F 17 HMR heavy barrel w/ thumb hole stock.
 
SUPPLIES (Chairperson Reggie Raynor)
Reggie not in attendance. Call Reggie if there is any supplies needed.

OLD BUSINESS 
4H Shooting Sports event was held on Saturday may 24th. Fred thanked Todd for his help running the trap events
Reminder; we have an ongoing bottle and can drive. Bottles and cans may be left in the shed next to the clubhouse. All proceeds are donated to Leukemia Cancer Research.
 
NEW BUSINESS
One new membership application Chris Wilkerson
