CALL TO ORDER
Meeting called to order at 7:08 PM by Club President Bob Kuhn. The meeting opened with Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag and moment of silence for those protecting our security. There were 22 members present including fifteen (15) Officers and committee members and three (3) guests.
Meeting Minutes for the March 8, 2018
The meeting minutes of March 8, 2018 were read and approved on a motion by Mike DePaola and 2nd by Christi-Anne with one addition. Under Committee Meeting it was noted that Arnie Bennett was approved for a Life Membership.
TREASURER’S REPORT
The Treasurer’s report for March 2018 was read and approved on a motion by Mike DePaola and 2nd by Ken Matthews.
Regular Checking Account balance ---- $19,143.23
Discipline Savings balance -------------- $ 2,965.04
Youth Account balance ------------------- $9,231.12
Savings Account balance ----------------- $ 7,722.29
American Funds balance ----------------- $43,800.75
STANDING COMMITTEES:
ARCHERY (Officer –ChristiAnne Storman)
ChristiAnne noted that they have set up half of the 3D course including the practice bag targets. Everything will be ready for the 1st scheduled shoot on Sunday May 6th.
TRAP (Officer Fred Guyette)
Fred noted that the Friday Night Trap league is now completed. Fred noted the following monies have been collected and turned in; 3/19/18 $115.50, 3/16/18 no shoot, 3/23/18 $280.00, 3/27/18 $111.00, 3/30/18 - $108.00, and 4/6/18 - $153.25. Total Friday Night Trap $767.75.
Winter Trap League 3//9/18 - $7.00, 3/23/18 - $14.50, 3/27/18 - $10.00, and 3/30/18 - $3.50. Total money for the Winter Trap League, $35.00, Total kitchen money - $120.00
Please check the club website for all dates and locations for all Trap events.
It was also noted that both of the4 trap machines have been serviced.
INDOOR RANGE (Officer Tom Blackman)
Tom noted they are eager to get the new steel and installing it for the indoor range. Tom noted that $125.00 was turned in from the range fee box. Tom also noted that the women’s handgun training class went well as usual.
Dave Byerly noted that the Sporter Rifle League has been completed. Silver Lake won 13 and lost 8. Top shooters include Raylene Coy won the top women’s trophy with an average of 281.0. Other top scorers include Jack Revie with a 274.8 Expert Class, Larry Coy with a 275.2 Expert Class, Dave Shaffer with a 268.5 Sharp Shooter Class and Dave Byerly with a Marksman Class. Open sight winner was Dave Shaffer with a 252.1 Marksman Class.
GROUNDS/BUILDINGS (Officer Ron Walter, Ron not in attendance)
It was noted that the lock combinations have been changed to the 2018 combinations.
Bob Tucker noted that Ron is scheduled to add gravel on the 100 yard rifle range to eliminate the mud situation.
Fred Guyette also suggested adding gravel at the lower level door.
SINGLE ACTION SHOOTING SPORTS (Officer Jack Revie)
Jack noted that the first SASS shoot is scheduled for the Sunday in April15th Registration at 9:00 AM All are welcome. The course is to be set up tomorrow 4/13 and/or Saturday 4/14 if necessary.
PFSC (Delegate Mike DePaola)
Mike reported that the last PFSC meeting was routine and had nothing special to report other than the same old politics.
12- GUN RAFFLE (Chairman Karl Eschbach)
The April 2018 gun winner is Todd Everitt, 570-663-2978. The Winning ticket was # 567. Todd won a Ruger American, bolt action with a synthetic stock, blued barrel, DBM, Marksman trigger w/ a 3-9 x 40 Redfield Scope in 243 cal.

Dan reported the kitchen is good.
OLD BUSINESS
It was noted that the recalled fire extinguisher(s) have been returned.
NEW BUSINESS
Fred noted that we need to start thinking and planning on providing donations for the annual Roger Everitt Memorial Shoot in June.
Bob Kuhn noted that the club flag should be flown at half-mast in memory of Dick Leavenworth for the remainder of the month.
It was noted that Roger and Carolyn Doolittle have donated $50.00 to the club in memory of Dick. Jim Mayers noted that he has sent a sympathy card to Dick’s widow acknowledging the donation and also a thank you to the Doolittle’s.
Tom Oleniacz related that the Montrose Area Archery In The Schools has been very successful. Tom noted that Montrose Elementary won 1st place in the State Tournament. The middle school came in 3rd in the state. Montrose high school placed 4th. The Montrose Area has qualified 55 students for the National Archery in the Schools tournament in Louisville, Kentucky. Tom is requesting that Silver Lake Rod & Gun Club help sponsor some of the kids. Jack Legg made a motion that the Club donate $1,000.00 to the Montrose Activity Archery fund. Motion 2nd by Christie-Anne. Motion approved. Bob Tucker also made a motion the Youth Account match the Club’s donation of $1,000.00. Motion 2nd by Fred Guyette. Motion voted on and approved. Total amount approved for Montrose Area Archery in the Schools Program is $2,000.00.
Ed Smith noted that PFSC will donate $600.00 to the Archery in the Schools program. The money will be distributed equally to the participating schools.
Jack Raynor noted that everything scheduled on the calendar needs to be included on the website. Everyone scheduling an event is requested to notify Ed Smith after confirming with Dan Hungerford.
Motion by Bob Tucker that the club purchases two tickets for the Silver Lake Fire Dept. “Barrel-O-Bucks”. Tickets are $50.00 each. Motion 2nd by Fred Guyette. Motion voted on and approved.
There were ten (10) new Membership Applications to review as follows;
ATTENDANCE POOL
The name drawn for the April 2018 attendance pool was Mark Terry. Mark not in attendance and missed out on a $24.00 pool. The May pool will be worth $35.00
