Regular Meeting
August 14, 2014
CALL TO ORDER
7:10 PM by Club President Bob Kuhn. The meeting opened with Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag and moment of silence for those protecting our security. There were 25 members present including 11 Officers and committee members.
Secretary Meeting Minutes for May
The Secretary’s meeting minutes of July10, 2014 were read and approved on a motion by Mike DePaola and 2nd by Fred Guyette with an addition that “Fred has a quote in the amount of $45,000.00 for the trap lounge.”
TREASURER’S REPORT
Bette VanWinkle was unable to attend the meeting. There is no Treasurer’s Report for August.
STANDING COMMITTEES:
ARCHERY (Officer Tom Oleniacz,)
Tom noted there were 32 shooters at the August 3D shoot. 3D registration $218.00 and kitchen brought in $87.00. The last 3D shoot for 2014 is scheduled for 9/7. Jim Mayers to do the registration table. Tom noted that he would most likely take the 3D targets in soon after.
TRAP (Officer Fred Guyette)
Fred Guyette noted the Friday shoot attendance appears to be up but Mondays are slow. The new speaker system has been delivered but waiting for a connector to install.
A “Meat Shoot” needs to be scheduled.
INDOOR RANGE (Officer Sam Williamson)
Sam noted that he has $8.00 from the range fee box to be turned over to Bette.
Sam also noted that the Sporter Rifle League will resume in September. Wednesday night is the normal night to shoot.
GROUNDS/BUILDINGS (Officer Ron Walter)
Ron noted all is ok. Dan Hungerford to remove existing furnace and install new furnaces.
SINGLE ACTION SHOOTING SPORTS (Officer Jack Revie)
Jack noted that attendance is down. Last shoot had 20 – 21 shooters. The next scheduled shoot is for next Sunday and all are welcome.
The last shoot of the year will include a chicken and biscuit dinner.
There is a two day shoot scheduled for the last weekend of August in Owego.
PFSC (Delegate Mike DePaola)
Mike noted a number of legislative issued were discussed at the last meeting.
Mike also noted the Youth Field Days to be held at Harford 9/27. See Mike for details.
12- GUN RAFFLE (Chairman Karl Eschbach)
Karl not in attendance.
The August 2014 gun winner is Paul Babuka, 332 Squires Avenue, Endicott, NY 13760. Phone # 607-484-1195. Winning ticket # 087. Paul won a Weatherby Vanguard 7mm-08 with a green synthetic stock.

1. Ed noted that the web site is about to crash. Ed to review and update.
KITCHEN_ (Chairman Dan Hungerford)
1. Dan noted everything is ok.
OLD BUSINESS
Tom Blackman noted that the proposed pistol training day signup for women has been filled. Training day is scheduled for 9/27. Tom noted many more women have asked and a second day may be required.
Discussed the safety issues regarding the 3D and rifle range overlap. Shooters must insure there is no one down range and that no one is on the 3D range.
NEW BUSINESS
Ten new member applications as follows; Michael Mills, Bethany Mills, Aubrey Mills, sponsor Bill Conyer. Davis Gaige, sponsor Bill Aton, Eric Bronson, sponsor Doug Wiser, Beatty Price, sponsor Doug Wiser, Christopher Black Sr. sponsor, Ed Smith, Henry Pyke, sponsor Paul Almy, Roger Marsh, sponsor, Critter, Hans VanHouten, sponsor Tom Blackman. There were no comments from the floor.
“Barrel O Bucks” ticket can be used for the picnic on 9/13.
It was noted that an Insurance inspection notes that we are required to install a noncombustible floor surface 18” outside the perimeter of the wood stove in the club house.
Discussed the need for (or not) to schedule a Fall Work Day.
ATTENDANCE POOL
The August Attendance pool name drawn was Chip Schmerder. Chip was not in attendance to win the $23.50 pool. The September pool will be worth $37.00.
ADJOURNMENT
With no further business to discuss, the meeting was adjourned at 8:12 PM.
Committee Meeting
There were eleven (11) officers and committee members in attendance. There were ten (10) new member applications listed above. Reviewed and approved all ten applications.
Reviewed the steel carport requirements and options as follows; 18’ x 21’ w/ walls $1,823.00.
18’ x 21’ w/o walls $1,372. Upgrade to 12 ga. Steel add $100.00. Sides to be 8’ high.
Motion by Ron Walter to purchase the 18’ x 21’, w/o walls for $1,372.70 plus upgrade to 12 ga. Steel. Down payment to be $129.50. Motion 2nd by Fred Guyette. All approved. Ron to order and provide down payment to be reimbursed.
Ron to install noncombustible floor under wood burner in clubhouse.
Dan to provide a chair sample for approval. Need Karl to provide a table sample from his proposed supplier as well.
