CALL TO ORDER
Meeting called to order at 7:10 PM by Club President Bob Kuhn. The meeting opened with Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag and moment of silence for those protecting our security. There were 22 members present including 12 Officers and committee members.
Meeting Minutes for July 14, 2016 (minutes by Fred Guyette)
The meeting minutes of July 14, 2016 were read and approved on a motion by Mike DePaola and 2nd by Tom Oleniacz.
TREASURER’S REPORT
The July 2016 Treasurer’s Report was read and approved on a motion by Mike DePaola and 2nd by Dennis Byerly.
May Regular Checking – Balance $15,222.86
May Disc. Savings – Balance $ 3,219.60
May Youth Account - Balance $ 7,621.78
May Savings Account - Balance $10,994.02
May American Funds- Balance $51,528.68
STANDING COMMITTEES:
ARCHERY (Officer Jordan Parsons, Jordan not in attendance)
Tom Oleniacz noted that he collected $138.00 from the range fee box to turn over to Bette.
Apparently no one (Jordan Parson or help) showed up for the August 3D shoot.
Tom noted possible bear damage to some of the 3D targets on the 3D range.
TRAP (Officer Fred Guyette)
Fred noted that all is going well. Friday trap is ongoing. Monday trap has been shut down.
Information on the upcoming “Meat Shoot” to be posted on the club website as soon as a date is picked.
The Skeet and 5 stand is now operational. Thanks go out to Art Ruck, Jim Ryan, Louie and to Dick Leavenworth for their efforts.
Bob reported that a pallet of clay birds was sold to the Walton Rod & Gun Club for $600.00.
INDOOR RANGE (Officer Sam Williamson)
Sam unable to be in attendance, no report.
GROUNDS/BUILDINGS (Officer Ron Walter)
Ron not in attendance either.
It was noted that the grass have been mowed. Also the water line has been installed to the new trap lounge extension and is on.
Help is being requested to help Pat McPherson and Dave Shafer for the electrical and carpentry work still required at the new and improved trap lounge.
SINGLE ACTION SHOOTING SPORTS (Officer Jack Revie)
Jack noted that he was unable to attend the last SASS shoot. Holly Seidel turned over $170.00 to Bette. There were 20 shooters at the last SASS event.
PFSC (Delegate Mike DePaola)
Mike noted that meeting was at Catawacta. The meeting went as usual. The PA Game Commission was represented at the meeting. It was noted that there has been no movement on the Sunday hunting issue. It was also noted that the bear population is on the rise. It appears that the bear are losing their fear of man.
There were discussions regarding the Harford Fair and also the Youth Field Days.
12- GUN RAFFLE (Chairman Karl Eschbach)
The August 2016 gun winner is Tom Winn, 464 Co. Road 38, Bainbridge, NY, ph# 607-967-8485. Tom won a Mossberg 4x4 270 with fluted bbl. The winning ticket was #488.
SUPPLIES (Chairman Reggie Raynor)
Jack reported all ok with the supplies.
INTERNET WEB SITE (Chairman Ed Smith)
Ed noted that all is good with the website.
Reminder, there is now a page for Members Only to buy, Sell or Trade items.

KITCHEN_ (Chairman Dan Hungerford)
Dan was welcomed back, while still battling some health issues. Dan noted all is ok with the kitchen.
OLD BUSINESS
The Range Fee boxes are installed with signs and locks on the boxes.
NEW BUSINESS
A letter from a local property owner, George Capwell was read. Mr. Capwell noted that he owns the property adjacent to the cell tower that can be seen from Silver Lake Rod & Gun Club. The tower is approximately 1.5 miles from the club grounds. Mr. Capwell noted there was an incident regarding cell tower damage, and also claims a spent bullet was found in his swimming pool.
Bob Kuhn and Jim Mayers will respond to Mr. Capwell’s letter. (Capwell letter attached to official secretary’s minutes)
It was determined that a sign-in sheet will be utilized for all shooting activities.
Three dates have been suggested for the up-coming hand gun classes by the Blackmans. The dates are as follows; September 3, October 8, and November 12. All classes from 9:00 am – 4:00 PM. Class attendee level to be determined. Max class size to be 12.
Fall Work Day date to be determined.
There are nine (9) new member applications from the July meeting to review and approve. There was not a quorum at the July meeting to vote on new members.

ATTENDANCE POOL
The name drawn for the August 2016 attendance pool was Ryan Pichura. Ryan was not in attendance. The September pool attendance Pool will be worth $44.50.
ADJOURNMENT
With no further business to discuss, the meeting was adjourned at 8:25 PM on a motion by Ken Matthews and 2nd by Mike DePaola.

There were twelve (12) officers and committee members in attendance. There were nine (9) new member applications as noted above for July and nine (9) new member applications for August. All names listed above.
All applications were reviewed and approved.
It was noted that there is a problem with the Archery program. No one showed up for the August 3D registration or the kitchen. This is now a recurring problem. Two previous 3D shoots were canceled without notice. Weather has never been an excuse prior to this year. Bob Kuhn to address the situation with Jordan.
With no further business to discuss the Committee meeting adjourned at 8:40 PM.
