Committee Meeting
February 22, 2024
Attendance:
Fred Guyette, Jim E. Mayers, Clark Burr, Bob Tucker, Todd Everett, , Jim C. Mayers, Lori Raub, Ron Walter, Matt Forba, Dave Byerly, Bob Kuhn, Tom Blackman
CALL TO ORDER
Meeting called to order at 7:02 by Committee Chairman Jim C. Mayers. Jim turned the meeting over to Club President Fred Guyette.
Order of Business;
Topic; Life Membership Fee, A lengthy discussion regarding what the increase should be for a Life Membership. It was noted that the previous Life Membership Fee was $250.00. That was 10x the cost of the annual membership cost of $25.00. It was determined that $600.00 would be too pricey for most members. It was determined that the new fee for a Lifetime Membership would be $500.00.
Fred noted that he wants the Trap Lounge door, the access door to the attic of the Clubhouse and the lockbox (on the side of the Trap Lounge) to be limited to only a few members. These doors will have a combination different than the normal combination given at the beginning of the year to all members.
Fred presented a price proposal from Doug Story to install a stairway from the drive between the Trap Lounge and the 100 yard range, to the upper trap range. The cost estimate is $2,600.00.
Fred made a motion to accept Doug Story’s price proposal. Motion was 2nd by Tom Blackman. All agreed.
It was determined that Zeb will partially enclose the upper trap range rest building. The section where the bench is will have plywood across the width of the bench (3’ +/- high) with operating windows to the ceiling.
Matt Forba will get a quote for two new 3D targets and three (3) replacement cores.
It was reiterated that if Choconut School requests money for their archery program, they will need to provide an invoice. We will no longer just donate money for them to spend on projects other than archery.
With No further business to discuss the meeting was adjourned at 7:45
Respectfully submitted,
Jim Mayers, Secretary
