February 13, 2020


​CALL TO ORDER
 
Meeting called to order at 7:08 by Club President, Jim Mayers.  The meeting opened with the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag and a moment of silence for those protecting our borders and security. There were twenty-four members present including fifteen officers and committee members nine guests.
 
Meeting Minutes for the Regular Meeting January 9, 2020                    
The meeting minutes for the Regular Meeting held on January 9, 2020 were read and approved with updates Dennis Byerly’s wife also Dave Byerly’s mother on a motion by Dave Shaffer, 2nd by Mike DePaola. 
 
Meeting Minutes for the Annual Dinner Meeting January 12, 2020
The meeting minutes for the Annual Dinner held on January 12, 2020 were read and approved on a motion by Dave Shaffer, 2nd by Mike DePaola.
 
Meeting Minutes for the Committee Meeting January 23, 2020
The meeting minutes for the Committee Meeting held on January 23, 2020 were read and approved on a motion by Dave Shaffer, 2nd by Mike DePaola.
 
TREASURER’S  REPORT
The Treasurer’s report for January 2020 was read and approved on a motion by Mike DePaola, 2nd by Dave Shaffer.

STANDING COMMITTEES:
 
ARCHERY   (Officer – Jim Mayers II)  
Jim noted shopping for two new targets.  There is informal shooting Tuesday nights.  Fifty-seven dollars turned in from the range box.
 
TRAP    (Officer Fred Guyette)  
Fred noted all is well with trap. Fred turned in $1000.50 from the trap league weeks of 1/10, 1/17, 1/24 and 1/31.  Friday 2/7 shoot cancelled due to weather.  Shoot dates sent to ATA but have not yet been approved.  Big 50 scores to be posted on the website.  County League dates are set and as follows:  April 5th @ Central, April 26th @ Silver Lake, May 3rd @ Blue Ridge, May 17th @ Canawacta, May 31st @ Harford, June 21 @ New Milford, June 28th @ Hallstead, Rain Dates June 14th and July 12th, Banquet August 8th @ Silver Lake.  Business cards have been made with ATA shoot dates as well as PA/NY state shoot dates.
 
INDOOR RANGE    (Officer Tom Blackman)
Tom stated all good turning in $181.00 from range box.  Dave Byerley reported that the Sporter Rifle through 17 weeks we are 12-5 and have the best average of the league.  Top shooter is Raylene Coy.
 
GROUNDS/BUILDINGS    (Officer Ron Walter)
Ron not in attendance
 
OUTDOOR SHOOTING RANGE   (Officer Jack Revie)
Jack turned in $384 from range boxes.  Jack noted that the targets need to be worked on.
   
PFSC (Delegate Mike DePaola)
Mike reported that there were not enough attendees to hold the meeting.  Next meeting is scheduled in a couple of weeks.  Ed Smith noted that bear season is TBD with a proposal to extend archery to bear season.
 
 12- GUN RAFFLE   (Chairman Karl Eschbach)
The February 2020 gun winner was Mike Rosencrans 1496 John C McNamara Dr. The winning ticket # was 284.  $2320 turned in from ticket sales
 
SUPPLIES (Chairman Reggie Raynor)
Reggie not in attendance
 
INTERNET WEB SITE   (Webmaster Ed Smith)
Ed noted he is still working on the domain name issue
 
KITCHEN_ (Chairman Dan Hungerford)
Dan noted all is well and thanked all who helped out by cooking/setup/cleanup/bringing in dishes etc…
 
OLD BUSINESS
 
Jim Mayers talked about medical kits and options, to be discussed further.  Fred Guyette stated 2020 calendar done and requested additional inputs.  PFSC meeting at Silver Lake March 26th at 6pm.
 
 
NEW BUSINESS
 
County League dates have been established and mailed out as stated earlier.  Teams need to be organized by and sign up at the first shoot.  Water softener needs to be serviced to address sulfur smell.  Karl Eschbach stated he would take a look at it.  Boy Scout breakfast will be held for the County League shoot at Silver Lake with a 7am start time.  The following new member applications were presented and discussed for approval:  Larry Howe, David Miller, Phil McCarthy, Frank Shambach, Tim Tucker, John Tucker, Ned Birchard, Riley Birchard, Christopher Spence, Chuck Castrogiovanni, Debra Turbides, Brent Dodge, Dave Sarkisian, Jessica Griffin, Ken Burnett.
 
ATTENDANCE  POOL
 
The name drawn for the February 2020 attendance pool was Justin Petcosky. Justin was not in attendance and missed out on $33.00. The March pool will be worth $44.00.
 
ADJOURNMENT
 
With no further business to discuss, the meeting was adjourned at 7:50 PM on a motion by Bob Tucker, 2nd Dave Shaffer. Approved unanimously.

Committee Meeting
​

The fifteen (15) new member applications noted above were reviewed and approved on a motion by Dave Shaffer, 2nd Clark Burr.   Approved unanimously
With no further business to discuss, the meeting was adjourned at 8:00pm.
