Regular Meeting
January 8th 2015
CALL TO ORDER
7:07 PM by Club President Bob Kuhn. The meeting opened with Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag and moment of silence for those protecting our security. There were 22 members present including 15 Officers and committee members.
Secretary Meeting Minutes for December
The Secretary’s meeting minutes of December 11, 2014 were read and approved on a motion by Mike DePaola and 2nd by Ed Smith.
TREASURER’S REPORT
The October Treasurer’s Report was read and approved on a motion by Mike DePaola and 2nd by Dennis Byerly.
The December Regular checking account balance is -$160.17
The Discipline Saving Account balance is $5,049.18
The Youth Account balance is $3,835.77
The Savings Account balance is $5,199.35
American Funds (CD) balance $49,284.75
STANDING COMMITTEES:
ARCHERY (Officer Tom Oleniacz,)
Tom noted that the Winter Archery League started on Tuesday January 6, 2015 and will run for 12 weeks. All are welcome to join in.
Tom also noted he spent $176.31 for targets and miscellaneous items.
TRAP (Officer Fred Guyette)
Fred noted the Winter League will commence on Friday January 9th 2015. The league will run for 10 weeks and cost a $10.00 entry fee then $4.00 per 50 bird round.
INDOOR RANGE (Officer Sam Williamson)
Sam noted that he turned in $63.00 from the range fee box.
Sam also noted that the Sporter Rifle League is now into the 12th week of 21 week league
It was also noted that there are those who are still shooting into the wood counter ledge.
GROUNDS/BUILDINGS (Officer Ron Walter)
Ron noted that the boy scouts did stack the firewood in the new storage garage. Ron also noted that he will have a load of stone delivered to spread on the driveway and parking area in case of ice.
Ed Smith will put a note of “Thank You” to the boy scouts for their stacking efforts.
SINGLE ACTION SHOOTING SPORTS (Officer Jack Revie)
Jack stated no report done for the year. Dave Shaffer turned money over to Bette from the last SASS shoot.
PFSC (Delegate Mike DePaola)
Mike noted that there were numerous legislative issues discussed at the last meeting. Club dues for 2015 will be due in February. There were 73 bears harvested in Susquehanna County for 2014.
The deer harvest was “average”.
It was further noted that Mike is now the President of the Susquehanna County PFSC.
12- GUN RAFFLE (Chairman Karl Eschbach)
The January 2015 gun winner is none other than Karl Eschbach, phone number 570-663-2563. The winning ticket number was #488. Karl won a Savage B-Mag, w/ synthetic/blued w/BDM-17 cal, Win Super Mag w/ accu-trigger and BSA Sweet 17 3x12x40 scope.
SUPPLIES (Chairman Reggie Raynor)
Jack noted everything will be ready for the Annual Dinner Meeting.
INTERNET WEB SITE (Chairman Ed Smith/Linda Alvelo)
Linda not present. Ed Smith noted that he has a new site up and running.
The new website address is www.silverlakerodandgunclub.com.
Ed is requesting members to provide pictures to be included on the new website.
KITCHEN_ (Chairman Dan Hungerford)
Will be ready for Sunday’s Annual Meeting. Dan noted he will be borrowing chaffing dishes again this year and would like to purchase two in the future.
OLD BUSINESS
Annual Dinner Meeting scheduled for Sunday January 11, 2015. Registration to begin at 12:00 noon. Jim and Bette to be at the club by 11:00 to set up for registrations and renewals.
Baskets are requested for raffles.
Bette has the new refrigerator magnets that replace the member hat pins or buttons.
The downstairs furnace is not been completed. Petcosky needs to order and install a new part. It was noted that the toilet room doors must remain open during the freezing weather to circulate warm air and keep pipes from freezing.
NEW BUSINESS
Tom Oleniacz noted that the Archery In The Schools Program may need to use the club to train archery instructors. Tom to verify when and if they need to use the club.
Fred needs all dates to include in the new 2015 calendar. This will include all Archery, Trap, SASS, and any and all special events. Jim to check with Binghamton PD.
There are four new membership applications to review as follows;

2. Peter Peguero 32 Camden St. Johnson City, NY , sponsor Jim Mayers.

ATTENDANCE POOL
The January Attendance pool name drawn was Jesse Gibbore. Jesse was not in attendance and missed out on a $29.50 jackpot.
The February attendance pool will be worth $39.00.

Committee Meeting
There were eleven (15) officers and committee members in attendance. There were four (4) new member applications listed above. Reviewed and approved all four applications as noted above.
Reviewed the 2015 Honorary Member List. It was determined that we will maintain the same Honorary Members for 2015 as we had in 2014. Committee also determined that we would add three (3) new Honorary members as follows; Tim Freuhan, Mike and Justin Petkosky.
The 2015 Honorary members are as follows; Josh Barnes, Kurt Barnes, Manny and Patty Feijoo, David Henderson, Doug Lattner, Bruce Matison, Mike Peranich, Tom Shelp, Bob and Ken Warner, Tim Freuhan, Mike and Justin Petkosky.
