CALL TO ORDER
Meeting called to order at 7:00 PM by Club President Bob Kuhn. The meeting opened with Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag and moment of silence for those protecting our security. There were 20 members present including 14 Officers and committee members.
Meeting Minutes for December 8, 2016
The meeting minutes of Dec. 8, 2016 were read and approved on a motion by Tom Blackman and 2nd by Dave Byerly.
TREASURER’S REPORT
The December 2016 Treasurer’s Report was read and approved on a motion by Fred Guyette and 2nd by Jack Raynor.
December Regular Checking – Balance $9,856.67
December Disc. Savings – Balance $ 5843.78
December Youth Account - Balance $ 6,096.78
December Savings Account - Balance $11,595.49
December American Funds- Balance $52,820.05
STANDING COMMITTEES:
ARCHERY (Officer –chairman required)
It was noted that the Winter Indoor Archery League is under way.
TRAP (Officer Fred Guyette)
The Winter Trap League is scheduled to commence on Friday January 13. The league will run for 10 weeks with 50 birds per week.
Bob Tucker is the new ATA Chairman. Bob noted that he will need help getting the Friday night league started.
INDOOR RANGE (Officer Sam Williamson)
Sam noted the Sporter Rifle League is in the 13th week. A check for $120.00 was sent to NYS Sporter Rifle Assoc. on 12/27/16 for weeks 1 thru 11. Sam turned over $168.00 to Bette for the Sporter Rifle range fees for weeks 1 thru 11. Sam also turned over $80.00 cash from the range fee box and $30.40 from the proceeds from 22 brass.
GROUNDS/BUILDINGS (Officer Ron Walter)
Ron noted that the toilet room work is completed and the Rent-A-John was returned.
SINGLE ACTION SHOOTING SPORTS (Officer Jack Revie, Jack not present)
Dave Shaffer noted that SASS is in hibernation for the winter.
PFSC (Delegate Mike DePaola, Mike not present)
No report. It was noted that Ed Smith had a triple bypass done and is home.
12- GUN RAFFLE (Chairman Karl Eschbach)
The January 2017 gun winner is Gary Hill. Gary won a Savage 116 Trophy Hunter XP w/ synthetic stock and a Nikon 3x9x40 BDC scope in 6.5 cal. rifle. The winning ticket number was #035.
Karl noted that he wanted to reserve the youth gun raffle at the Annual Dinner for youths only. It was determined that the winner must be in attendance and not over 15 years old.

Everything is ok and ready to go for the Annual Dinner..

It was noted that Ed is recovering from a triple bypass.

Dan noted all ok.
OLD BUSINESS
Chris McComb, Principal of the Choconut Valley Elementary School was present and noted his appreciation for Silver Lake Rod and Gun Clubs sponsoring the Archery in the Schools Program for Choconut Valley Elementary. He noted there are many, many students benefitting from our generosity. A motion by Bob Tucker to continue supporting CVES Archery in the Schools program for $500.00 was 2nd by Ron Walter. All voted in favor. There was also a motion by Tom Oleniacz and 2nd by Dave Shaffer to support the Archery in the Schools program for Lathrop Elementary and Montrose Area High School Archery in the School programs for $500.00 to be split between the two schools. All approved
NEW BUSINESS
There were two (2) new member applications.
It was noted by Jack Raynor that someone had used the range in the club house and left it dirty and covered in grease. Whoever uses the range is responsible for cleaning it.
It was also noted that we need raffle baskets for the Annual Dinner.
As always, the club will be providing the turkey, ham and drinks for our annual dinner.
ATTENDANCE POOL
The name drawn for the January 2017 attendance pool was Dave Sarkisian. David was not in attendance and missed out on a $88.50 pool. The February attendance Pool will be worth $99.50.
ADJOURNMENT
With no further business to discuss, the meeting was adjourned at 7:55 PM on a motion by Bob Tucker and 2nd by Dave Shaffer.
Committee Meeting
There were fourteen (14) officers and committee members in attendance. There were (2) new member applications as noted above. Applications was reviewed and approved.
Christiann Storman and her husband Scott have noted their desire to be the new Archery Committee chair person. Tom Oleniacz stayed to introduce Christiann and Scott to the details of what it takes to be the Archery Chairman and the work requirements for the 3D shoots.
With no further business to discuss the Committee meeting adjourned at 8:10 PM.
