June 11, 2020
Called to order at 7:05 PM by club President Jim Mayers.
The meeting opened with Pledge of allegiance and a moment of silence for those protecting our security. There were 15 members present including 12 officers and committee members.
Secretary meeting minutes for March 2020 were read by Jim Mayers, Motion made by Mike De Paola to accept report and seconded by Dave Shaffer.
Committee Meeting Minutes for May 16 were read by President Jim Mayers, Motion made by Mike DePaola to accept report and seconded by Dave Shaffer.
Treasurers Report- the June treasurers report was read and approved by Mike DePaola and 2nd by Dave Shaffer.
May – Regular Checking balance -$18,227.74.09
May- Discipline Savings Account balance- $7,629.00
Youth Account balance- $ 15,366.34
Savings Account balance- $8,274.84
American Funds Balance- $43,701.15
Royalty Account balance-$44.36
Total Balance $83,244.03
Standing Committees
Archery – Officer Jim Mayers Jr. reported that there is an archery shoot this Sunday June 14 and all targets are set but still needs to walk the course and check the pins. He has people to work the shoot and Jack Raynor mentioned that Reggie has all the kitchen supplies are in the trap lounge kitchen.
Trap – Fred Guyette reported that we opened on May 1st with COVID practices posted. Seems everyone is trying to practice safely. Friday night shooting still starting at around 2:00. Trying to finish the Winter league and will run for 2 more weeks.
Bob Kuhn noted that the traps will be serviced on June 24th and all outdoor shooting ranges will be closed 9am-1pm.
Bob Kuhn reported that the Susquehanna County Trap League has been cancelled for the year.
There is some discussion with other clubs to have a one day shoot with all the clubs. Nothing is set up but there are a few trying to organize it.
Indoor Pistol Range- Tom Blackman reported that not much is going on and he turned in $24.00.
Noted that the red safety light that was shot has been replaced and Lori Raub volunteered to pick up a red LED bulb to replace the broken one.
Building and Grounds – Chairman Ron Walter reported that the mowing is going good. Some weed whacking needs to be done.
Ron also noted that in addition to the ditching for the wet area by the flag pole that additional drainage needs to be addressed below the club house. Dave Shaffer to look into.
Outdoor Ranges-- Chairman Jack Revie reported that the 100 yard range target matts have been replaced. Thanked Dave Shaffer, Bob Tucker and Clark Burr for the help.
Bob Tucker noted that the 50 yard bench needs to be repaired and replaced back at 50 yards. Dave Shaffer to get with Bob and Jack to repair and replace.
A discussion on the range safety and signs with Dave Shaffer and Jack Revie and Tom Blackman working on the plan and signage.
PFSC Chairman Mike DePaola reported that the first meeting was held 2 weeks ago.
They have lost their booth at the Fairgrounds and don’t know where they will be relocated to, possibly by the chicken building
The Ticket sales will be coming out and noted that the clubs get a part of their sales.
Youth Field days will be held again this year sometime in September at the fairgrounds.
Noted of a bill #1483 on an advisory board to the existing game commission and to call legislation to vote down the Bill.
Next meeting at Rock Mountain Complex.
12 Gun Raffle – Chairman Karl Eschbach – not present- Fred noted that all the tickets and money have been collected. There were 39 free tickets from the sales and Norm McPherson and Bob Tucker were the Top two sales people with 50+ each and Dave Shaffer and Ken Matthews with 35+ each
June’s winner- Charles Canfield –ticket #440- sold by Ken Matthews- won Winchester XPR scope package 7MM Mag w/ Vortex Crossfire 3x9x40 scope. Fred to contact him.
Not sure where Manny is on the gun transfers Fred to call to find out and let committee and winner know.
Supplies – Chairwoman Reggie Raynor- Jack reported -all is set for the Archery shoot and everything is good. Jack mentioned that there were supplies on the counter from the cupboards and Lori said they were put there because of mice. Jack suggest on putting dryer sheets in the cupboards.
Internet Website - Ed Smith not present because of COVID concerns and his heath. Fred noted that he has been putting thing on website very quickly. Lou Schreiner reported on the Facebook page and let him know if anything needs to be added. Fred noted that Lou is posting very quickly and doing a good job.
Kitchen Dan Hungerford noted he wouldn’t be doing the Annual Dinner or Roger Everitt shoots anymore and will help the new person.
Old business – Jim Mayers Jr commented on the medical Kits and that there were a lot of items in the existing kits that were expired and need to be updated. Lou will take charge of updating and replacing.
Jim Mayers commented on the skeet houses that needed to be painted white and that he has completed.
Bob Kuhn commented on the County Trap league that has been cancelled.
Dan Hungerford commented on the Shoot being held in September at Houseman’s that they need score keepers for the event. Anyone interested contact Dan. There will be food and a range open for the score keepers after the shoot.
New business – New membership applications (2)

Attendance Pool- no attendance pool as Secretary was absent.
Adjournment- with no further business to discuss, the meeting was adjourned at 8:05 on a motion by Jim Mayers Jr and 2nd by Dave Shaffer.
Committee Meeting- after regular meeting, there were 12 officers and committee members in attendance. The new 2 applicant were reviewed and voted to accept.
_Jim noted that the member applications have been revised. The new members will be required to be at the meeting with their sponsors.
_Bob Kuhn asked about the Binghamton Police’s use of the club? Jim to call and find out the problem. Dan noted that they were using a difference facility due the problem they had the last time with neighbor conflict.
_Dave Shaffer proposed on a new cooling/heating system for the Trap Lounge. Price is $3000.00 plus extra cost for line sets. Karl Eschbach to install for free. Dan suggested locations for the inside units. Was voted on and approved. Fred to contact Karl to arrange sale and installation.

- Roger Everitt Shoot was held Sunday June 7th with the short notice there were no prizes to award, but we did have a “LEWIS” for Singles and Handicap. We had 32 contestants with 28 for singles, 25 for Handicap and 5 for doubles.
- High Singles was Bill Barrows with a score of 96
- High Handicap was James Koons with a score of 93
- High Doubles was Tammy Wildenstein with a score of 83
- Singles Lewis money-1st-$90.00 Bill Barrows, 2nd $54.00 Chuck Wildenstein, 3rd (tie) $18.00 Joe Woosman and Ken Burnett
- Handicap Lewis money-1st-$80.00 Sue Dunkle, 2nd $48.00 Stephen Kruh, 3rd $32.00 Chuck Wildenstein.
