Regular Meeting
March 12, 2015
CALL TO ORDER
7:08 PM by Club President Bob Kuhn. The meeting opened with Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag and moment of silence for those protecting our security. There were 32 members present including 13 Officers and committee members and two guests.
Special Guest
Patrick Daly was in attendance and is requesting members to vote for him as Susquehanna County District Attorney.
Secretary Meeting Minutes for February
The Secretary’s meeting minutes of February 12, 2015 Annual Dinner Meeting were read and approved on a motion by Mike DePaola and 2nd by Roger Marsh.
TREASURER’S REPORT
The February Treasurer’s Report was read and approved on a motion by Mike DePaola and 2nd by Roger Marsh.
The February Regular checking account balance is $7,546.34
The Discipline Saving Account balance is $5,204.36
The Youth Account balance is $3,335.77
The Savings Account balance is $4,799.61
American Funds (CD) balance $49,284.75
STANDING COMMITTEES:
ARCHERY (Officer Tom Oleniacz,)
Tom not in attendance. Jim Mayers noted the Winter Archery League will conclude on March 24. We will also have a Fish Fry and Coon shoot on Saturday April 11, 2015. All are welcome.
(This note is from the February minutes) Tom noted the 3D shoots will start back up again on the 1st Sunday of May. The 2nd 3d Shoot will be held on May 31 due to the Roger Everitt Memorial Shoot.
TRAP (Officer Fred Guyette)
(Fred not in attendance.)
Norm McPherson noted that the first ATA shoot will be on April 13th. The Winter League has fallen behind schedule due to inclement weather
.
Bob Kuhn noted that the Susquehanna County League schedule is available on line and the club house. The League banquet is scheduled for Sept. 12th. The Keystone 200 banquet scheduled for May 23rd may be held at Silver Lake Rod and Gun Club. Stay tuned for verification. Bob also noted that Silver Lake Rod and Gun Club has only one County League team at this time.
INDOOR RANGE (Officer Sam Williamson)
Sam noted that he turned in $84.00 from the range fee box, and $106.00 from the Sporter Rifle League. Sam noted also that $89.00 was sent to the Sporter Rifle League office in New York as the club dues.
Sam also noted that the Sporter Rifle League is now concluded.
GROUNDS/BUILDINGS (Officer Ron Walter)
Ron noted that he will change the combination lock numbers this coming week. Ron also noted that after we ran out of fuel last month, we are now on auto fill. We also need a 500 gal. tank.
SINGLE ACTION SHOOTING SPORTS (Officer Jack Revie)
Jack not in attendance and will have knee surgery next week. Dave Shaffer noted that SASS is waiting for April.
PFSC (Delegate Mike DePaola)
Mike noted that the February meeting was held at Lawton. Ed Smith took notes. It was note that a new game warden is scheduled to start soon.
It was noted that Hunter Safety classes may be taken on line. It was further noted that youths must attend the classes.

12- GUN RAFFLE (Chairman Karl Eschbach)
The March 2015 gun winner is Tom Norville, 1339 Old Country Road, Montrose, PA. 18801 570-241-7902. The winning ticket number was #003. Tom won a Marlin 336 30-30 w/laminated stock and big loop lever action.

Jack noted all ok.
INTERNET WEB SITE (Chairman Ed Smith)
1. Ed Smith noted that the new site up and running and is encouraging everyone to check it out.
2. The new website address is www.silverlakerodandgunclub.com.
3. Ed is requesting members to provide pictures to be included on the new website.
4. Ed will now include a PFSC page.
KITCHEN_ (Chairman Dan Hungerford)
Dan noted all ok.
OLD BUSINESS
Ed Smith noted that he has a price quote for new signs for SASS. Plastic signs are quite expensive. Ed will continue looking for more quotes.
NEW BUSINESS
It was determined that the Spring Work Day will be on Saturday April 25th. Breakfast will be served from 7:00 AM until 8:00 AM. Work to commence at 8:00 AM.
Mike DePaola presented a motion that Silver Lake Rod & Gun Club provide a $25.00 floral arrangement for PFSC raffle. 2nd by Ken Barnes. All approved.
It was noted that Chris McComb is again requesting $500.00 for the Archery in the Schools Program for Choconut Valley Elementary. It was also noted that we gave $500.00 to the
Montrose schools last year. After numerous discussions of how we should donate the money, Jim Mayers proposed a motion to donate $1000.00 to the school district program to be divided up at their discretion. Motion 2nd by Ron Walter. It was determined that ½ would come from the
Youth Account and the other ½ from the General Fund. All approved.
There are seven new membership applications to review as follows;

The Secretary forgot to bring the Pool tickets and money can, Therefore, no Attendance Pool name drawn for March. The April attendance pool will be worth $49.00.
