STANDING COMMITTEES:
ARCHERY (Officer –ChristiAnne Storman)
ChristiAnne noted that this 3D season will be her last as Committee Chair. Christi-Anne noted that she has not been able to get out to inspect the 3D course yet.
Karl Eschbach noted there are numerous trees throughout the 3D course that have blown over and will need to be removed prior to the 3D season. Karl noted that it will probably require more than one day to remove all of the fallen trees. Karl also noted that one 3D target was left out over the winter.
TRAP (Officer Fred Guyette)
Fred was not in attendance. It was noted that the skeet high house is in need of repairs. There are holes in the roof and door area.
The upper trap house is in need of electrical work, also the trap machines are in need of service. It was also noted that the water line from the clubhouse to the trap lounge has frozen on more than one occasion. This problem will need to be addressed and corrected.
Karl noted that he will provide a cost estimate to provide ductless heat/AC for the Trap Lounge.
INDOOR RANGE (Officer Tom Blackman)
Tom not in attendance. It was noted that we still need to find someone to reclaim the lead from the old backstop rubber and remove.
GROUNDS / BUILDINGS (Officer Ron Walter)
Ron noted that the clubhouse basement needs to be cleaned out. Also the ditch from the trap house needs to be finished.
It was further noted that the clubhouse porch needs to be weather treated. Clark Burr offered to power wash the porch prior to resealing the wood.
The club entrance sign needs to be cleaned and repainted. It was suggested that whoever made the sign may be able to renew the sign.
The rifle range needs to be policed. There is a lot of brass over the area. This will be a Spring Work Day project. Need to make a sign to notify shooters to police their own brass.
SINGLE ACTION SHOOTING SPORTS (Officer Jack Revie)
Jack not in attendance. Dave Shaffer noted that SASS may not be in operation this coming season due to the poor attendance this past year.
NEW BUSINESS
Dave noted that it has been 12 +/- years since the Silver Lake Rod & Gun Club Constitution and By-Laws has been reviewed. Secretary Jim Mayers apologized for not bringing additional copies of the current Constitution and By-Laws. They will be available at out next meeting for all officers and committee chairs for their review and input.
Jim Mayers also suggested that a Committee be established to review the by-laws. Jim Mayers, Jr. offered to head the committee. It was agreed that Jim Mayers, Jr. would head the committee with Dave Shaffer, Karl Eschbach and Jim Mayers, Sr. completing the committee. All officers and committee chairs to review and submit thoughts to the Constitution and By-Laws committee.
ADJOURNMENT
With no further business to discuss, the meeting was adjourned at 7:55 PM on a motion by Ron Walter.
Respectfully submitted,
Jim Mayers, Secretary
