November 2015 Regular Monthly Meeting
CALL TO ORDER
Meeting called to order at 7:05 PM by Club Vice-President Dan Hungerford. The meeting opened with Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag and moment of silence for those protecting our security. There were 25 members present including 13 Officers and committee members.
Secretary Meeting Minutes for October 8, 2015
The Secretary’s meeting minutes of October 8, 2015 were read and approved on a motion by Mike DePaola and 2nd by Dennis Byerly.
TREASURER’S REPORT
The October 2015 Treasurer’s Report was read and approved on a motion by Mike DiPaola and 2nd by Ken Barnes.
October Regular Checking – Balance $4,178.09
Oct. Disc. Savings – Balance $ 263.46
Oct. Youth Account - Balance $6,800.70
Oct. Savings Account - Balance $10,371.66
Oct. American Funds- Balance $47,169.06
STANDING COMMITTEES:
ARCHERY (Officer Tom Oleniacz,)
Tom was not in attendance. No report
The Winter 2016 Archery League will commence the 1st Tuesday in January. (January 5, 2016)
TRAP (Officer Fred Guyette)
Fred noted that all is well with Trap. Friday night trap shoots are continuing.
INDOOR RANGE (Officer Sam Williamson)
Sam noted he has $44.00 from the range fee box to turn over.
Sam also noted he received $18.15 from Greenblott’s for scrap brass.
Sam reported that the Sporter Rifle season is now into the 7th week.

GROUNDS / BUILDINGS (Officer Ron Walter)
Ron noted all is well.
Fred Guyette noted that he has the chimney extension and will be installing it.
SINGLE ACTION SHOOTING SPORTS (Officer Jack Revie)
Jack noted the SASS operations are in winter hibernation and will resume in the spring of 2016.
PFSC (Delegate Mike DePaola)
It was noted that the meeting was relatively routine. Please see the club website for details.
There is information regarding QDMA on the website for those interested.
12- GUN RAFFLE (Chairman Karl Eschbach)
The November 2015 gun winner is Rich Gillette 570-663-2835. The winning ticket was number 240. Rich won a Savage MK II 22 magnum w/ a Simmons scope.

Jack noted all ok.
INTERNET WEB SITE (Chairman Ed Smith)
Ed Smith noted that the new site up and running and is encouraging everyone to check it out.
Ed noted that the PA Game Commission expects to increase hunting license fees.
New items have been put up on the site. Ed is encouraging anyone with questions regarding the website to email him.

KITCHEN_ (Chairman Dan Hungerford)
Dan noted all is ok with the kitchen.
OLD BUSINESS
Ed Smith inquired whether there is anything scheduled for work on the 100 yard rifle range. There is nothing scheduled at this time.
Fred Guyette noted that he is awaiting a final quote from the last contractor for the quote on the Trap Lounge.
Fred noted that he will clean the chimney at the clubhouse when he installs the extension.
It was also noted that we have Pre-purchased fuel oil from Warner’s Gas. We purchased 1000 gallons of propane at $1.90 per gallon. Purchase was made on July 15, 2015.
NEW BUSINESS
Abby Onyon from the Susquehanna County 4H was present at the meeting. A check in the amount of $1,500.00 was presented to Abby by Fred Guyette from Silver Lake Rod & Gun Club. Abby read a report as to how the last donation was spent and thanked the Club for this donation.
There are nine (9) new member applications to review and approve.

It was also noted that Bob Charpinsky renewed his membership with the rest of the BPD new Member applications. All of the BPD new members and the Bob Charpinsky renewal were paid for by the City of Binghamton.
Tom Blackman is requesting berms to be installed between the various SASS stations. Tom will put together a preliminary plan for Committee review.
A request was also made to install heavier backstop steel to allow jacketed bullets. The request was tabled at this time.
It was asked of those present whether we should purchase the refrigerator club calendars again this year. Motion by Ken Barnes and 2nd by Paul Almy that we purchase 2016 Club Magnetic calendars for the same amount as last year. Voted on, all Approved,
Silver Lake Community Park Association is requesting a donation of $500.00. Motion from Fred to donate $500,00 from the Youth Fund. 2nd by Karl Eschbach. Motion voted on and approved.
Ron Walters noted that hunters are using the woods behind the rifle ranges during deer season. It was determined that the rifle range will be closed during deer season. A big sign will be made and prominently displayed. Ed Smith will post on the website all rifle ranges to be closed during deer season for safety.
Pip VanWinkle noted there were twenty people who took the Hunter Safety course. All passed.
ATTENDANCE POOL
The name drawn for the November 2015 attendance pool was Fred Guyette was in attendance and won $142.25. The December attendance pool will be worth $11.50.
