Regular Meeting
October 9, 2014
CALL TO ORDER
7:07 PM by Club President Bob Kuhn. The meeting opened with Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag and moment of silence for those protecting our security. There were 21 members present including 11 Officers and committee members. There was one guest present also.
Secretary Meeting Minutes for September
The Secretary’s meeting minutes of September 11, 2014 were read and approved on a motion by Mike DePaola and 2nd by Dave Byerly, with one correction and one addition.
The “Meat Shoot” should have read October 12th , not the 19th. The addition was that the law requiring all boats changing waterways must be cleaned is a New York State law.
TREASURER’S REPORT
The September Treasurer’s Report was read and approved on a motion by Mike DePaola and 2nd by Fred Guyette.
The September Regular checking account balance is $3,700.46.
The Discipline Saving Account balance is $4,171.61.
The Youth Account balance is $5,335.77.
The Savings Account balance is $6,048.90.
American Funds (CD) balance $48,845.70
STANDING COMMITTEES:
ARCHERY (Officer Tom Oleniacz,)
Tom not present.
It was noted that the 3D targets have all been pulled and stored for the winter. It was also noted that the winter indoor archery league will resume the 1st Tuesday in January and run for 12 weeks.
TRAP (Officer Fred Guyette)
Fred noted the meat shoot went well.
Maintaining Monday and Friday Trap shoots.
INDOOR RANGE (Officer Sam Williamson)
Sam noted that he turned in $42.50 from the range fee box.
Sam also noted that the Sporter Rifle League is now into the second week.
GROUNDS/BUILDINGS Officer Ron Walter)
Ron not present.
Fred noted that a new (used) wood stove has been installed in the trap lounge. The final flue connections are pending.
New furnace has been set in place in the club house but is not functional as yet.
Ron noted that he has ordered the new carport.
The Trap Lounge floor needs to be cleaned, waxed and sealed.
Ed Smith noted that the 100 yard rifle range needs some dozer attention. Ed said he has a friend who owns a dozer and will get a price quote.
SINGLE ACTION SHOOTING SPORTS (Officer Jack Revie)
Jack not in attendance.
It was noted that the last shoot is scheduled for 10/19.
PFSC (Delegate Mike DePaola)
Mike noted a number of legislative issued were discussed at the last meeting.
Mike also noted the doe permits will be computerized and not be purchased through the County Treasurers office after this year.
The Youth Field Days held at Harford on 9/27 had 73 youths participating.

SUPPLIES (Chairman Reggie Raynor)
Supplies are ok according to Jack. Soda from the machine now will cost $1.25.
Internet Website (Chairman Linda Alvelo / Ed Smith)
Linda not present. Ed Smith noted that he has a new site up and running. Ed is requesting members to provide pictures to be included on the new website.
KITCHEN_ (Chairman Dan Hungerford)
Dan noted everything is ok. The October 12th “Meat Shoot” will feature hotdogs and hamburgers on the menu.
OLD BUSINESS
Furnaces in the club house to be installed and completed within the next 2-3 weeks.
Tables and Chairs, Dan purchased 4-8’tables and 2-6’ tables.
Fred proposed a motion to purchase twelve padded chairs for the Trap Lounge. Motion was 2nd by Ken Barnes. Chair purchase price not to exceed $40.00 per chair, all approved.
It was noted that the Trap Lounge windows have been repaired.
It was also noted that new prize mugs are ordered and being made.
Bob noted that he had received an email from Tom Blackman regarding the huge success the special pistol training class the Blackman’s put on for 21 women who attended the class. All who attended had a very positive result and are requesting additional classes. The Club will reimburse the Blackman’s for their expenses. Jim Mayers to send the Blackman’s a Thank You note for their excellent efforts.
NEW BUSINESS
Bob noted that Bette needs a computer and an accounting program for the exclusive use for
Silver Lake Rod and Gun Club business finances.
Fred Guyette proposed a motion to purchase a laptop computer and Quick Books program.
Motion 2nd by Ken Barnes. Purchase cost of the laptop and program not to exceed $1,000.00.
All approved. Bette to purchase the laptop and program.

The October Attendance pool name drawn was Fred Guyette. Fred won $47.50.
The November pool will be worth $11.00
ADJOURNMENT
With no further business to discuss, the meeting was adjourned at 8:05 PM.
Committee Meeting
There were eleven (11) officers and committee members in attendance. There were six (6) new member applications listed above. Reviewed and approved all six applications as noted above.
It was determined that Bob Kuhn would speak with Linda Alvelo regarding the Club website name.
