Regular Meeting
October 8, 2015
CALL TO ORDER
Meeting called to order at 7:05 PM by Club President Bob Kuhn. The meeting opened with Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag and moment of silence for those protecting our security. There were 21 members present including 12 Officers and committee members.
Secretary Meeting Minutes for Sept. 10, 2015
The Secretary’s meeting minutes of September 10, 2015 were read and approved on a motion by Mike DePaola and 2nd by Dave Shaffer.
TREASURER’S REPORT
The September 2015 Treasurer’s Report was read and approved on a motion by Mike DiPaola and 2nd by Dennis Byerly.
Sept. Regular Checking – Balance $3,731.00
Sept. Disc. Savings – Balance $55.36
Sept. Youth Account - Balance $6,800.07
Sept. Savings Account - Balance $10,371.14
Sept. American Funds- Balance $49,423.06
STANDING COMMITTEES:
ARCHERY (Officer Tom Oleniacz,)
Tom was not in attendance. It was noted that all 3D targets have been picked up and put into storage for the winter.
The Winter 2016 Archery League will commence the 1st Tuesday in January.
TRAP (Officer Fred Guyette)
Fred noted that all is well with Trap. Friday night trap shoots are continuing. The “Meat Shoot” was a success.
Bob Kuhn noted that he has $873.00 from Friday nights and another $895.00 from the “Meat Shoot” to turn over to Bette.
There is some meat left over from the “Meat Shoot” that is in the freezer for future use.
INDOOR RANGE (Officer Sam Williamson)
Sam noted he has $46.00 from the range fee box to turn over.
Sam also noted that the Sporter Rifle season is now into the 2nd week.

GROUNDS/BUILDINGS (Officer Ron Walter)
Ron was not in attendance, gone fishing. No report.
Bob Tucker noted that the weeds around the trap houses needs to be cut or sprayed.
SINGLE ACTION SHOOTING SPORTS (Officer Jack Revie)
Jack not present.
Dave Shaffer noted there were eight shooters at the last shoot. It was also noted that more time was spent eating than shooting.
The last shoot is scheduled for Sunday October 18th. There will be a “Shooter Appreciation” cookout/dinner. Bring dish to pass. All are welcome.
PFSC (Delegate Mike DePaola)
It was noted that the Youth Field Days at the Harford Fair grounds was attended by 70 youths. It was noted that Tom Oleniacz was instructing the youths in archery.
Mike noted that they have raffle tickets and 40% of the proceeds will go to the specific gun club that sells the ticket(s).
It was also noted that PFSC has fish available for stocking ponds. Order by October 14th and pick up October 18th.

12- GUN RAFFLE (Chairman Karl Eschbach)
The October 2015 gun winner is Andrew Kline, phone # 570-663-2128. The winning ticket was number 561. Andrew won a Lyman Deer Stalker 50 cal. Flintlock muzzle loader.
SUPPLIES (Chairman Reggie Raynor)
Jack noted all ok.
Internet Website Ed noted that the new site up and running and is encouraging everyone to check it out.
Ed noted that the PA Game Commission expects to increase hunting license fees.
The new website address is www.silverlakerodandgunclub.com.
KITCHEN_ (Chairman Dan Hungerford)
Dan noted all is ok with the kitchen.
OLD BUSINESS
There was no “Old Business” discussed
NEW BUSINESS
There are three (3) new member applications to review and approve.
There are as follows;
- John and Nancy Reed 4595 Quaker Lake Road, Brackney, PA sponsor Bob Hartman.
- David Manning 4041 Brady Hill Rd. Binghamton, NY sponsor Dan Griffiths.
Sam noted that the lighter on the downstairs propane heater was not working.
A “Thank You” card from Abby Onyon from the Susquehanna County 4H was read.
It was noted that a new section for the clubhouse wood burner flue is needed. Fred to check.
It was noted that Rip VanWinkle needs the club on November 1st for a Hunter Ed Class. Those
wishing to take the Hunter Ed Class must register on line with the PA Game Commission.
ATTENDANCE POOL
The name drawn for the October 2015 attendance pool was Brendon Buglione. Brendon was not in attendance and lost out on a $132.50 pot. The November attendance pool will be worth $142.25.
ADJOURNMENT
With no further business to discuss, the meeting was adjourned at 7:45 PM on a motion by Bob Tucker.
Committee Meeting
There were twelve (12) officers and committee members in attendance. There were three (3) new member applications as noted above. All approved.
