CALL TO ORDER
Meeting called to order at 7:04 PM by Club President Bob Kuhn. The meeting opened with Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag and moment of silence for those protecting our security. There were 24 members present including 13 Officers and committee members and two guests..
Meeting Minutes for Sept. 8, 2016
The meeting minutes of August 11, 2016 were read and approved on a motion by Mike DePaola and 2nd by Roger Marsh.
TREASURER’S REPORT
The August 2016 Treasurer’s Report was read and approved on a motion by Mike DePaola and 2nd by Dave Shaffer.
August Regular Checking – Balance $9,661.18
August Disc. Savings – Balance $ 5,326.07
August Youth Account - Balance $ 7,596.78
August Savings Account - Balance $11,594.60
August American Funds- Balance $52,485.79
STANDING COMMITTEES:
ARCHERY (Officer Jordan Parsons, Jordan not in attendance)
Tom Oleniacz noted that he picked up all the 3D and bag targets and stored them for the winter.
TRAP (Officer Fred Guyette, Fred out of town)
Norm noted that all trap activity seems to have slowed down.
Friday trap is continuing.
INDOOR RANGE (Officer Sam Williamson)
Sam noted that he has $50.00 to turn over from the Range Fee box.
Sam noted that the Sporter Rifle league will soon be starting. Sam noted that the official Sporter Rifle Association charges $1.00 per week per man. A motion was made by Dave Shaffer and 2nd by Sam Williamson that the range fee for the Sporter Rifle League be established at Two ($2.00) per match. The cost per man per match is established at $3.00 per match per man. All approved.
GROUNDS/BUILDINGS (Officer Ron Walter Ron not in attendance either)
It was noted that a 4’ x 8’ sign has been posted noting that the ranges are closed Monday thru Saturday during Archery and Gun season.
Jack Raynor noted that the Trap Lounge expansion is ready for insulation and sheetrock.
The Building Committee will convene on Wednesday 10/19.
SINGLE ACTION SHOOTING SPORTS (Officer Jack Revie)
Jack noted that the last scheduled shoot is this month. Jack noted that only seven (7) shooters attended the September SASS event. Jack also noted that SASS attendance overall is down 50%.
The October SASS will have the traditional chicken and biscuit lunch following the shoot. All are welcome.
PFSC (Delegate Mike DePaola)
Mike noted that the meeting was at Canasawacta. The topic of discussion was in regards to the Youth Field Days. Attendance was down with only 22 kids attending. Ed thought the low attendance was due to the change of venue from Harford to Canaswacta which may have been difficult to find for those who have never been there.
12- GUN RAFFLE (Chairman Karl Eschbach)
The October 2016 gun winner is Jarrett Cannistia 2604 NYS Rt. 7 Bainbridge, NY Jarrett won a Remington 870 Combo 12 ga. Shotgun w/ 20” personal defense bbl w/ blue and heat shield and a camo 23” turkey bbl.
The winning ticket number was #207.
SUPPLIES (Chairman Reggie Raynor)
Jack reported all ok with the supplies.
INTERNET WEB SITE (Chairman Ed Smith)
Ed noted that all is good with the website.
Reminder, there is now a page for Members Only to buy, Sell or Trade items.
The website address is www.silverlakerodandgunclub.com.
Bob noted that Linda Alvelo was contacted and she will turnover ownership for the domain name to the club. Ed to coordinate with Linda and Bette to pay for the turnover.
KITCHEN_ (Chairman Dan Hungerford)
Dan reminded everyone to notify him when borrowing chairs and or tables. Tables and chairs have been taken out without using the sign-out book.
OLD BUSINESS
There were no Old Business items to discuss.
NEW BUSINESS
Fall Work Day date to be determined.
There are two (2) new member applications.
There are as follows;
We need to establish for 2017 who will be willing to remain or become officers and committee members.
It was suggested that we might try to rent the Silver Lake Fire Dept. building for our Annual Dinner. Jim Mayers to contact Peg Miller.
ATTENDANCE POOL
The name drawn for the October 2016 attendance pool was Dave Sarkisian. Dave was not in attendance and missed out on a $53.50 pool. The November attendance Pool will be worth $66.50.
ADJOURNMENT
With no further business to discuss, the meeting was adjourned at 8:10 PM on a motion by Ken Barnes and 2nd by Dave Shaffer.

There were thirteen (13) officers and committee members in attendance. There were two (2) new member applications as noted above. All applications were reviewed and approved.
