CALL TO ORDER
Meeting called to order at 7:03 by Club President, Bob Kuhn, The meeting opened with the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag and a moment of silence for those protecting our borders and security. There were twenty one members present including eleven officers and committee members and two guests.
Special Guest
Special guest, Julie Harvatine from Susquehanna 4H was present and addressed the club members thanking the club for all the club does to help and sponsor the 4H. Bob Kuhn presented Julie and the 4H with a check in the amount of $1500.00 to continue our support of the 4H boys and girls. The money was donated from the funds from the Roger Everitt Memorial Shoot.
Meeting Minutes for the Sept., 2018
The meeting minutes of Sept. 13, 2018 were read and approved on a motion by Mike DePaola and 2nd by Dave Shaffer.
TREASURER’S REPORT
The Treasurer’s report for July 2018 was read and approved on a motion by Mike DePaola and 2nd by Dave Shaffer.
Regular Checking Account balance ---- $15,706.64
Discipline Savings balance -------------- $ 6,271.23
Youth Account balance ------------------- $13,862.95
Savings Account balance ----------------- $9,320.20
American Funds balance ----------------- $45,300.03
STANDING COMMITTEES:
ARCHERY (Officer –ChristiAnne Storman)
ChristiAnne noted that all of the targets set out for the 3D shoots have been picked up and stored for the winter. The practice bag targets are still out for those who still want to practice. The bag targets are to be picked up and stored the 1st week in November.
TRAP (Officer Fred Guyette)
Fred was not in attendance. Bob Tucker noted the last ATA shoot had 14 shooters. Registration took in $218.00 after ATA fees.
Friday 9/7 took in $251.00, Friday 9/14 took in $140.00, 9/21 took in $115.00, 9/28 took in $187.00 and 10/5 took in $170.00. Also, a case of shells was sold for $50.00.
The “Meat Shoot” is still scheduled for the Saturday after Thanksgiving.
It was noted that Norm McPherson has had knee surgery.
It was further noted that another trap motor is in need of repair.
INDOOR RANGE (Officer Tom Blackman)
Tom was not in attendance. Dave Shaffer noted that the lights at the indoor range are in bad shape and need to be replaced.
No report on the Sporter Rifle League.
GROUNDS/BUILDINGS (Officer Ron Walter)
Ron noted that all is OK. It was noted that Dave Shaffer has replaced a 2’x3’ section of severely deteriorated subfloor at the ADA toilet. Dave replaced the section with new materials and the floor is better than ever.
Bob Tucker noted that the rubber mat backer has been installed at the 100 yard rifle range.
SINGLE ACTION SHOOTING SPORTS (Officer Jack Revie)
The next scheduled Cowboy Shoot is scheduled for next Sunday. This will be the last shoot of the season. All are welcome to come to observe and /or participate.
PFSC (Delegate Mike DePaola)
Mike reported that at the last PFSC meeting the discussion centered on the Youth Field Days and CWD. This is the last night to get PFSC raffle tickets.
12- GUN RAFFLE (Chairman Karl Eschbach, Karl not in attendance)
The October 2018 gun winner is Dick Thrasher phone number 607-786-5376. The winning ticket # was 232. Dick won a Weatherby SA08 Upland 12 gauge S/A w/ choke tubes, walnut stock and blued barrels. Jim Mayers to notify Mr. Thrasher.

Jack noted all is well. If anyone needs supplies, please call Jack’s house.

NEW BUSINESS
Jack Legg noted there is a turkey shoot scheduled for November 4th in Greene.
Dave Shaffer noted the Cub Scouts are looking for a donation from the club. Rip VanWinkle made a motion to donate $300.00. The motion was 2nd by Dave Shaffer. Motion was carried and approved.
There were two (2) new Membership Applications to review as follows;
ATTENDANCE POOL
The name drawn for the October 2018 attendance pool was Neil Walker. Neil was not in attendance and missed out on a $92.00 pool. The November pool will be worth $103.50.
ADJOURNMENT
With no further business to discuss, the meeting was adjourned at 8:00 PM on a motion by Jack Raynor.
Committee Meeting
The Two (2) new member applications as noted above were reviewed and approved.
Reviewed the Tractor quote from Timberline Lawn and RV Inc. After a lengthy discussion, it was determined that we will delete the $1,150 quote for the KU-3rd function valve and add $500.00 for tire chains. Jim Mayers obtained a Kubota Commercial Credit Application from Timberline RV. The application requires Bob Kuhn as President to sign the application. Jim Mayers made a motion the Silver Lake Rod and Gun Club must be totally responsible for the payment so Bob will not be responsible for any payments regarding this purchase. Motion 2nd by Rip VanWinkle. Motion carried and approved.
Motion by Jim Mayers to purchase the Kubota B2650 Tractor w/front loader bucket and rear mount mower loaded tires and tire chains, as revised. Motion 2nd by Fred Guyette. Motion carried and approved.
