CALL TO ORDER
Meeting called to order at 7:01 by Club President, Bob Kuhn. The meeting opened with the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag and a moment of silence for those protecting our borders and security. There were sixteen members present including nine officers and committee members and two guests.
4H Director Report
Sarah Welch, the new 4H Director for Susquehanna County presented a brief talk regarding how the 4H participation used the funds donated by Silver Lake Rod & Gun Club. Bob Kuhn presented a check in the amount of $1450.00 to Ms. Welch for the Susquehanna County 4H.
Meeting Minutes for the September 12, 2019
The Secretary’s meeting minutes of September 12, 2019 were read and approved on a motion by Fred Guyette and 2nd by Dave Shaffer.
TREASURER’S REPORT
The Treasurers report for June was read and approved on a motion by Fred Guyette and 2nd by Jim Mayers ll. All approved.
August 2019 Regular Checking balance $ 9,529.07
Discipline Savings $ 2,046.19
Youth Account $ 15,716.34
Savings Account $ 9,323.01
American Funds $ 47,214.15
STANDING COMMITTEES:
ARCHERY (Officer –Jim Mayers II)
Jim noted that the 3D targets were picked up and stored for the winter. Jim also noted that one bag target remains available for anyone who needs the practice.
Jim to check with club members to determine if there is an interest on having a Winter Archery League.
TRAP (Officer Fred Guyette)
Fred turned in a total of $799.30 from the Friday night Trap Shoots. These Friday night shoots included 9/13, $205.00, ATA 9/20, $240.50, Trap 9/27, 281.25, Trap 10/4, $72.55.
A “Meat Shoot” was held on September 29th. There were twenty five shooters. Registration took in $572.00 and food sales were $81.00. There were 22 prizes given out. There were several contests held including 19 yard, Cutthroat, Buddy Shoot, Driveway Shoot and Skeet for Meat”.
The cost for the meat exceeded the income by $32.63 but there is left overs in the freezer for use at the Annual Dinner. Included in the left over is 8 sticks of pepperoni, 3 turkeys, 2 tenderloins, 4 chuck roasts, 4 pork loins and 1 bacon.
INDOOR RANGE (Officer Tom Blackman)
Tom noted that all was good with the indoor range. Tom turned in $69.10 from the range fee box.
Dave Byerly noted that the Sporter Rifle League is in the third week. There are eight shooters and Dave noted there is room for more. Dave also turned in $54.00.
GROUNDS/BUILDINGS (Officer Ron Walter)
Ron not in attendance. All appears well.
SINGLE ACTION SHOOTING SPORTS (Officer Jack Revie)
It was noted that there was nothing to report. SASS has shutdown.
PFSC (Delegate Mike DePaola)
Mike not in attendance.
12- GUN RAFFLE (Chairman Karl Eschbach)
The October 2019 gun winner is Ed Nichols. 570-663-2154. Ed won an American Tactical (KOFS) 20 gauge O/U Sporting Clays with genuine walnut stock. Winning ticket was #417.

Jack not in attendance. It was noted that we are out of coffee creamers.

OLD BUSINESS
It was noted that the light illuminating the flag at night is not working. It was also noted that someone left the heat on at 87 degrees.
NEW BUSINESS
It was noted that the 400 yard rifle range is to be used only on Sundays during archery and gun season. The 100 yard range may be used anytime.
Fred to look into having a dumpster on site for garbage. Bill Conyer used to take the garbage to the roadside every Monday morning.
There were nine (9) new membership Applications as follows;
ATTENDANCE POOL
The name drawn for the October 2019 attendance pool was Kevin Dougherty. Kevin was NOT in attendance and missed out on an $20.00 pot. The November pool will be worth $28.00.
ADJOURNMENT
With no further business to discuss, the meeting was adjourned at 7:50 PM on a motion by Jim Mayers II.
Committee Meeting
There were nine (9) Officers and Committee members present. Had to call Jack Revie and Dan Hungerford to reach a quorum. Reviewed the nine (9) new member applications as noted above were reviewed and approved.
With no further business to discuss, the meeting was adjourned at 8:15.
