Regular Meeting
Sept. 10, 2015
CALL TO ORDER
Meeting called to order at 7:05 PM by Club President Bob Kuhn. The meeting opened with Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag and moment of silence for those protecting our security. There were 27 members present including 15 Officers and committee members.
Secretary Meeting Minutes for August 13, 2015
The Secretary’s meeting minutes of August 13, 2015 were read and approved on a motion by Mike DePaola and 2nd by Dave Shaffer.
TREASURER’S REPORT
The August 2015 Treasurer’s Report was read and approved on a motion by Mike DiPaola and 2nd by Dennis Byerly.
August Regular Checking – Balance $4,752.35
August Disc. Savings – Balance $55.36
August Youth Account - Balance $7,076.35
August Savings Account - Balance $10,371.14
August American Funds- Balance $49,423.06
STANDING COMMITTEES:
ARCHERY (Officer Tom Oleniacz,)
Tom noted the September 3D shoot had 33 shooters. The registration took in $274.00 and the kitchen took in $58.00.
The September shoot was the last scheduled shoot for 2015.
Tom noted that he will be taking down the 3D range targets soon.
The Winter 2016 Archery League will commence the 1st Tuesday in January.
TRAP (Officer Fred Guyette)
Norm McPherson noted that everything is going well.
The Monday shoots are suspended and the Friday nights are going well.
Norm noted that the lower trap has been repaired.
There is a “Meat Shoot” scheduled for October 4th.
Norm noted he has $652.00 from open shoots and $75.25 from the kitchen to turn over to Bette.
There is a banquet scheduled for Susquehanna Co. Trap League at SLR&G Club on 9/12.
INDOOR RANGE (Officer Sam Williamson)
Sam noted he has $44.00 from the range fee box to turn over.
Sam also noted that the Sporter Rifle season will commence the week of September 27th.

GROUNDS/BUILDINGS (Officer Ron Walter)
Ron was not in attendance. No report.
It was noted that Burkes Pest Control has sprayed for cluster flies.
SINGLE ACTION SHOOTING SPORTS (Officer Jack Revie)
Jack noted there were 25+/- shooters at the last SASS shoot.
The next shoot is scheduled for Sunday September 20th. The attendance is expected to be low due to a conflict with the NYS shoot scheduled the same day. All are welcome.
The last shoot is scheduled for Sunday October 18th. There will be a “Shooter Appreciation” cookout/dinner. Will need kitchen help. All are welcome.
PFSC (Delegate Mike DePaola)
It was noted that the Harford Fair was attended in lieu of the scheduled meeting. Mike noted that they have raffle tickets and 40% of the proceeds will go to the specific gun club that sells the ticket(s).

12- GUN RAFFLE (Chairman Karl Eschbach)
The September 2015 gun winner is Mary Lu Byerly, Brackney, PA.
The winning ticket was #221. Mary Lu won a Ruger American 22-250. Dennis Byerly will contact Mary Lu.
SUPPLIES (Chairman Reggie Raynor)
Jack noted all ok.
INTERNET WEB SITE (Chairman Ed Smith)
Ed Smith noted that the new site up and running and is encouraging everyone to check it out.
Ed noted that the PA Game Commission expects to increase hunting license fees.
The new website address is www.silverlakerodandgunclub.com.
KITCHEN_ (Chairman Dan Hungerford)
Dan noted all is ok with the kitchen. Dan also noted that he will need help for the Susquehanna County Trap Banquet scheduled for 9/12. Dan to purchase additional hams if necessary.
OLD BUSINESS
It was noted by Tom Blackman that the Gals & Guns Training class scheduled for 9/26 is full. The limit of trainees is 12. There are several names over the limit to be included if anyone drops out or are unable to attend.
If necessary Tom will schedule additional future classes.
The security system is operational but someone is changing the setup. Ed Smith working on securing the system to be tamper proof.
NEW BUSINESS
There are nine (9) new member applications to review and approve.
There are as follows;
Bob Kuhn noted that the Laurel Lake Association has gifted the club three folding banquet
tables.
It has been noted that the weight limit for garbage is 20# per bag.
Discussed the need for a Fall Work Day. Tabled the discussion until the October meeting.
There were no further New Business items mentioned.
ATTENDANCE POOL
The name drawn for the September attendance pool was Alex Jayne. Alex was not in attendance and lost out on a $119.50 pot. The October attendance pool will be worth $132.50.
ADJOURNMENT
With no further business to discuss, the meeting was adjourned at 7:55 PM on a motion by Dave Shaffer.

There were fifteen (15) officers and committee members in attendance. There were nine (9) new member applications as noted above. All approved.
