CALL TO ORDER
Meeting called to order at 7:04 PM by Club President Bob Kuhn. The meeting opened with Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag and moment of silence for those protecting our security. There were 21 members present including 12 Officers and committee members.
Meeting Minutes for August 11, 2016
The meeting minutes of August 11, 2016 were read and approved on a motion by Mike DePaola and 2nd by Roger Marsh.
TREASURER’S REPORT
The August 2016 Treasurer’s Report was read and approved on a motion by Mike DePaola and 2nd by Dave Shaffer.
August Regular Checking – Balance $13,149.09

STANDING COMMITTEES:
ARCHERY (Officer Jordan Parsons, Jordan not in attendance)

TRAP (Officer Fred Guyette, Fred out of town)
Norm noted that he will soon start a signup sheet for the Winter Trap league.
All is going well with the Friday trap.
INDOOR RANGE (Officer Sam Williamson)
Sam noted that he has $82.00 to turn over from the Range Fee box.
Sam noted that the Sporter Rifle league will soon be starting.
Sam informed the club that he will be stepping down as the Indoor Range Officer at the end of the year. Sam noted several club members for honors for last winter’s Sporter rifle league including Dave Shaffer 2nd place Marksman and Jack Revie 2nd place Senior Sharpshooter..
GROUNDS/BUILDINGS (Officer Ron Walter)
Ron not in attendance either, no report.
SINGLE ACTION SHOOTING SPORTS (Officer Jack Revie)
Jack noted that the last shoot was down in attendance due to bad weather. There were 16+/- shooters. The last shoot for the year will be in October.
PFSC (Delegate Mike DePaola)
Mike noted that there was no meeting due to the Harford Fair.
Ed Smith noted that there are a number of radical left wing legislative proposals out to severely restrict gun ownership and requiring all gun owners to be licensed.
12- GUN RAFFLE (Chairman Karl Eschbach, Karl not here)
The September 2016 gun winner is Ted Cady Sr. 8725 SR 167, Kingsley, PA. 278-2986. Ted won a CZ 527 223 with synthetic stock and a 3 - 9x40 Bushnell Banner scope.
The winning ticket number was #105.
SUPPLIES (Chairman Reggie Raynor)
Jack reported all ok with the supplies.
INTERNET WEB SITE (Chairman Ed Smith)
Ed noted that all is good with the website.
It was noted that Linda Alvelo is no longer a paid up member. Ed noted that Linda still owns the club domain name. Committee to decide how we may resolve this issue.
Reminder, there is now a page for Members Only to buy, Sell or Trade items.

KITCHEN_ (Chairman Dan Hungerford)
Dan was not in attendance, No report.
OLD BUSINESS
Ed Smith noted that Range sign in books are available for $16.99 each and are waterproof.
It was noted that the electric has been installed and inspected at the trap lounge expansion. Walls need to be completed and fans installed.
A Thank you card from Elk Lake Archery in the Schools program was read for the monetary contribution from Silver Lake Rod & Gun Club.
There are two tickets available for the Silver Lake Voluntary Fire Dept. for their Barrel-O-Bucks party this Saturday (9/11/16)
The Committee will need to establish who will be collecting the cash from the range fee boxes.
NEW BUSINESS
Fall Work Day date to be determined.
There are three (3) new member applications.
There are as follows;
- Adam Nanni Jr. sponsor Jim Mayers.
- Russell Avery sponsor Jim Mayers
- Allen Case sponsor Norm McPherson.
It was mentioned that we need more room for our Annual Dinner. It was suggested that Neuman Hall would charge $500.00 +/-. Jim Mayers will call Joe Homan to determine feasibility.
The floor at the Trap Lounge has been painted. The framing is 95% complete. The Building Committee is to reconvene to determine approval of all work.
Fire wood will be needed for the trap lounge for the winter. Fall Work Day TBD.
Tom Oleniacz noted that he would take down the 3D targets and store them for the winter.
Jack Raynor noted that we will need a garbage detail on Mondays. Jack noted he is resigning from the position.
Rip Van Winkle wants to set up a Hunter Safety Class in October. Date(s) to be determined.
ATTENDANCE POOL
The name drawn for the September 2016 attendance pool was Mike Castallano. Mike was not in attendance and missed out on a $44.50 pool. The October pool attendance Pool will be worth $53.50.
ADJOURNMENT
With no further business to discuss, the meeting was adjourned at 8:20 PM on a motion by Dave Shaffer and 2nd by Roger Marsh.
Committee Meeting
There were twelve (12) officers and committee members in attendance. There were three (3) new member applications as noted above. All applications were reviewed and approved.
It was noted that there is a problem with the Archery program. Bob Kuhn has been unsuccessful in trying to contact Jordan. Jim Mayers will send out a letter to Jordan.
We need a sign to close all rifle ranges for archery and gun season. Scheduled trap shoots will not be affected.
With no further business to discuss the Committee meeting adjourned at 8:40 PM.
