CALL TO ORDER
Meeting called to order at 7:05 by Club President, Bob Kuhn. The meeting opened with the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag and a moment of silence for those protecting our borders and security. There were twenty three members present including twelve officers and committee members and one guest.
Meeting Minutes for the August 8, 2019
The Secretary’s meeting minutes of August 8, 2019 were read and approved on a motion by Mike DePoala and 2nd by Dave Shaffer.
TREASURER’S REPORT
The Treasurers report for June was read and approved on a motion by Mike DePaola and 2nd by Dave Byerly. All approved.
August 2019 Regular Checking balance $ 8,367.37
Discipline Savings $ 1,651.51
Youth Account $ 15,716.34
Savings Account $ 9,322.54
American Funds $ 47,214.15
STANDING COMMITTEES:
ARCHERY (Officer –Jim Mayers II)
Jim noted that there were 27 shooters at the September 3D shoot. Total income for the day was $332.00 of which $42.00 was from the kitchen. Jim also turned in the $300.00 in seed money. The September 3D shoot was the last shoot of the summer. Jim thanked Tom Oleniacz and Ron Jacoby for their help throughout the 3D season. Jim also noted that the 3D course will be picked up and stored on the Saturday 9/29. One bag target will be left out for those who need to tune up for Archery season. Jim also noted that all targets from Lancaster have arrived and we have a zero balance.
Channel 34 came out to the club and shot a 1-2 minute piece showing two of our 3D shooters and advertising the final upcoming 3D shoot.
TRAP (Officer Fred Guyette)
Fred is in Colorado on their annual elk hunt. Norm noted that he turned in a total of $1,393.75 from the Friday night Trap Shoots. These Friday night shoots included 8/9, 8/16, 8/23, and 9/6.
Norm noted that “Big 50” is scheduled to start on last Friday in September.. A “Meat Shoot” is also scheduled for 9/29.
Bob Kuhn turned in $290.00 for ATA shoot on 8/26.
INDOOR RANGE (Officer Tom Blackman)
Tom noted that all was good with the indoor range. Tom turned in $94.00 from the range fee box.
Dave Byerly noted that the Sporter Rifle League is scheduled to commence on 9/22. See Dave if interested in joining in. The season is scheduled for 21 weeks with breaks for Christmas and New Year holidays.
GROUNDS/BUILDINGS (Officer Ron Walter)
Ron not in attendance. All appears well.
SINGLE ACTION SHOOTING SPORTS (Officer Jack Revie)
It was noted that there was nothing to report. SASS has shutdown.
PFSC (Delegate Mike DePaola)
Mike noted there was no regular meeting. PFSC preparing for the Harford Fair.
Mike noted that he still has raffle tickets for sale.
12- GUN RAFFLE (Chairman Karl Eschbach)
The September 2019 gun winner is Earl Raub Sr. 570-465-9078. The winning ticket was Ticket # 225. Earl won a Browning A Bolt in 300 WSM.

Jack noted all is well.

OLD BUSINESS
It was noted that Silver Lake Rod & Gun Club won $100.00 from the Silver Lake BOB Early Bird drawing.
NEW BUSINESS
It was noted that the Silver Lake Silver Needles Quilt group donated $100.00 to the club. They also requested space in the ladies room to locate a lockable storage cabinet for their extension cords. They will purchase the cabinet.
There were four (4) new membership Applications as follows;
ATTENDANCE POOL
The name drawn for the September 2019 attendance pool was Ron Becker. Ron was not in attendance and missed out on an $11.50 pot. The October pool will be worth $20.00.
ADJOURNMENT
With no further business to discuss, the meeting was adjourned at 7:53 PM on a motion by Dave Byerly.
Committee Meeting
There were twelve (12) Officers and Committee members present. All four new member applications as noted above were reviewed and approved.
Discussed how and who will be included as a Nominating Committee for the upcoming year. It was determined that each of the Five (5) Standing Committee Officers will comprise the Nominating Committee. It was noted last year that Bob will be stepping down as President, Bette Van Winkle has also decided to step down as Treasurer and Rip VanWinkle will not run again as a Director. (The Nominating Committee has their work cut out for them)
With no further business to discuss, the meeting was adjourned at 8:15.
