CALL TO ORDER
7:10 PM by Club President Bob Kuhn. The meeting opened with Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag and moment of silence for those protecting our security. There were 21 members present including 13 Officers and committee members.
Secretary Meeting Minutes for August
The Secretary’s meeting minutes of August 14, 2014 were read and approved on a motion by Mike DePaola and 2nd by Dave Shaffer.
TREASURER’S REPORT
The July Treasurer’s Report was read and approved on a motion by Mike DePaola and 2nd by Dennis Byerly. The July Regular checking account balance is $2,824.43, the Discipline Saving Account balance is $3,254.85, The Youth Account balance is $5,210.77, and The Savings Account balance is $6,048.75.
The August Treasurer’s Report was read and approved on a motion by Mike DePaola and 2nd by Roger Marsh. The Regular Checking Account balance is $4,333.99, The Discipline Saving Account balance is $3,254.85, The Youth Account balance is $5,335.77, and The Saving Account balance is $6,048.90.
STANDING COMMITTEES:
ARCHERY (Officer Tom Oleniacz,)
Tom noted the last 3D shoot of 2014 brought in $266.00 and the kitchen made $95.00.
Tom noted that he would be taking the 3D course down sometime in the next two weeks.
TRAP (Officer Fred Guyette) Fred not present.
Bob Kuhn noted the Monday open trap is lightly attended, but the Friday shoots are better. It was noted that a “Meat Shoot” is scheduled for 10/19/14. Help is needed for the shoot and the kitchen needs help also.
Bob to notify other clubs of the upcoming “Meat Shoot”.
It was also noted that the new speakers are in place and working.
INDOOR RANGE (Officer Sam Williamson)
Sam noted that he turned in $47.00 from the range fee box.
Sam also noted that the Sporter Rifle League will resume on September 29th. Wednesday night is the normal night to shoot. All are welcome to join in. Sam noted that he will be ordering ne targets.
GROUNDS/BUILDINGS (Officer Ron Walter)
Ron noted all is ok. It was noted that a new base has been installed under the wood burner in the club house per insurance company request. There is a concern that a trip hazard exists now because of the new stone base.
Dan Hungerford to remove existing furnace and install new furnaces.
SINGLE ACTION SHOOTING SPORTS (Officer Jack Revie)
Jack noted there were24 shooters at the last Cowboy shoot. The next shoot is scheduled for September 21st. A chicken and biscuit dinner is planned. All are welcome.
PFSC (Delegate Mike DePaola)
Mike noted a number of legislative issued were discussed at the last meeting.
Mike also noted the Youth Field Days to be held at Harford 9/27. See Mike for details.
Mike also noted that he has received our membership certificate.
The PFSC Convention is scheduled to be held in Harrisburg. See Mike for details.
12- GUN RAFFLE (Chairman Karl Eschbach)
Karl not in attendance.
The September 2014 gun winner is Karl Eschbach, Phone # 570-663-2563. Winning ticket # 488. Karl won a Pieta army colt replica black powder pistol w/ .36 cal. Bullet mold, powder measure, capper and presentation case.
SUPPLIES (Chairman Reggie Raynor)
Supplies are ok according to Jack Raynor. Jack also noted that the price of soda is going up..
INTERNET WEB SITE (Chairman Linda Alvelo/ Ed Smith)
1. Linda not present. Ed Smith noted that he has a new site up and running. Ed is requesting members to provide pictures to be included on the new website.
KITCHEN_ (Chairman Dan Hungerford)
1. Dan noted everything is ok. The October 19th “Meat Shoot” will feature hotdogs and hamburgers on the menu.
OLD BUSINESS
Fred out of town, no news regarding the Trap Lounge is available at this time.
NEW BUSINESS
Two new member applications as follows; Dustin Mack 7139 Laurel Lake Road, Brackney, PA Sponsor Clint Long
Jason Howes 674 Bailey Road, Montrose, PA sponsor Jim Mayers. No comment from the floor.
The new tables and chairs situation is tabled at this time.
Dennis Byerly noted that he has purged 39 members from the membership list due to not being paid up for 2014.
Dan Hungerford noted that all boats are required to be cleaned prior to being moved from one waterway to another water way.
ATTENDANCE POOL
The September Attendance pool name drawn was David Gaige. David was not in attendance to win the $37.00 pool. The October attendance pool will be worth $47.50.
ADJOURNMENT
With no further business to discuss, the meeting was adjourned at 8:05 PM.
Committee Meeting
There were thirteen (13) officers and committee members in attendance. There were two (2) new member applications listed above. Reviewed and approved both applications as noted above.
